Back then Major studios weren't obsessed with Blockbusters as they are now, They released mid-budget and sometimes even small budget movies, but we're often of decent quality and sometimes great. Several which you actually cover here. Hell even the home video market could be pretty good at times, such as as the films as PM entertainment, who made some pretty good B grade but derivative yet fun action flicks that would often appear on HBO and soon later the video store. 90s was a fun time to grow up.

@@MoviesNeverSayDie It was not just a great time for movies, It was also great time to be alive and grow up. It was a very laid-back and fun loving time unlike later decades. Also, I saw the taking of Beverly hills as a result of this video, I thought it was pretty entertaining despite how silly and ridiculous it could be. A Cheesy yet fun in a so good it's bad movie type kind of way. Thanks for the recommendations! Keep up the good work.

Oh...Teen Agent(I'm a Brit, didn't know that film had another title until now - literally say the poster you showed, thought "that's the guy from Teen Agent" and...yeah...) slightly rediculous concept(without spoiling too heavilly, dumbest mistaken identity set up ever) but a lot of fun once it gets down to business!

It's always interesting how the films get different titles. It really was the dumbest set-up. Almost like they said "this is good enough, let's just shoot through this part so we can get to the meat of the movie."

William Forsyth really enjoyed playing his part in Stone Cold! He chewed up the scenery so great. Am I weird for laughing at his performance some of the time and pressing the rewind button lol 😂?

Most likely Brian Bosworth is very happy Stone Cold has become an unintentional memorable very ridiculous action movie that Good Bad and Bad Bad has reviewed with recommending it. Also, I do recall Stone Cold getting a RiffTrax commentary which isn’t a surprise because Brian Bosworth was hoping to capture the success of Arnold Schwarzenegger, the former Pro Athlete turned actor Carl Weathers, etc.

Ooh, One Hit Wonders! Do a One Hit Wonders the Me2 movement would like you to forget. Because I saw a metric f*ckton of direct to video movies during the late 80's and early 90's that usually had the producers or directors wive, girlfriend or side-piece in the lead and they weren't cast for their acting talent.

It’s very amazing that Stone Cold is a badass cool Action AntiHero Movie that got released before WWF had the charismatic badass Wrestler Stone Cold because Steve Austin was using a different WWF wrestler name before changing to the memorable very cool badass name Stone Cold.

@@MoviesNeverSayDie So it knows it’s intentional ridiculous much like Lake Placid which is an intentional ridiculous campy creature feature movie that has a giant crocodile in Lake Placid that is in Maine for this movie even though the movie acknowledges it’s really in New York so it’s in on the joke that this is a different version of Lake Placid instead of the exact real Lake Placid in New York.
@jasoncase9481Ай бұрын
Brian BosWorth is a charismatic brawny man that would be perfect as the heavyweight brawny main antagonist Willy in a Rated R serious faithful Double Dragon reboot movie set in a post apocalyptic New York City, and the violence would be hardcore similar to 300, and (2000) Gladiator.

Love your channel/content, but this is one list that you had the most glaring omission. You 100% should have included Mark Dacascos in "Only The Strong" which was a great action film including the Brazilian martial arts of Capoeria. It makes zero sense to me why Mark didn't take off as an action start during the 90s, he had the looks, physique, decent actor, and unlike other action stars was very believable as someone who could kick butt because he was a 4th degree Black Belt in Wun Hop Kuen Do. Only the Strong was a solid 90s action flick with a great soundtrack....a real underrated gem. Mark and the movie deserved better.
