i think a proper number 6 (probs the hardest to get) would solve so much of our problems (we still do need defensive cover for lb/lcb no doubt), our game state management has been so bad, we can't hold onto leads properly and we are so open from the middle. Bissouma is good but he is way too inconsistent, I'd rather take someone decent who performs consistently. Bentancur is more of an 8 i think but he has also been super unlucky with injuries I think gray could fit in there eventually once our defenders are back (which never happens...) but i hope we get some experienced player there, maybe on loan.

100% rumour, 0% signed. As always, we'll get a youngster off the radar, we can't even pick our nose to get a winner, dark times. I'm going throw this out, how many goal opportunities did Romero concede when he was in full form, I can remember 4 times this season, VDV at least 2, my point being, when we have a full squad, we are still vulnerable, I really want Ange to adapt his style to the plyers we have available like we did against the scouse, otherwise the writing is on the wall, I’m still Ange in with all the stats floating about. @ who is a realistic alternative ? Who is going to come, knowing they are not going to get CL football next year! Who Levy will be willing to payout for, who would be more consistent than what we have now? Baring in mind we sold both Winks and Skippy who were though not first teamers more reliable certainly than the very error prone Bissouma who has cost us many goals this season ? All this talk of big names is pie in the sky, Levy won’t pay extra knowing CL is unlikely ! ( unless we sell another top player) We need a sound DM who can cope with the Ange game! Phillips is affordable and will fit in to our squad! Agreed not a first choice but will stop them sloppy give away goals, can defend and pass a ball! Most of all is consistent!

Skriniar is experienced and has top quality defensive attributes. It comes across as arrogant that Spurs fans feel we're too good for him. Everyone mentions our style of play and high line but without VDV our defensive line has dropped much deeper - and he would be far better than Dragusin or Davies. Romero is also not that quick - so no doubt Skriniar could play beside VDV. Also, I remember fans saying how the likes of Pau Torres would be poor in a high line team - well he slotted in absolutely fine at Villa. Can't believe we're turning our noses up at such a quality defender with the state we're in.

Sonny! Possibility to get players from another team at winter...is 1. More money 2. Secure main start member. PGS man..plays like another Eric dire. Pls watch game n he knew well upon VDV n romero back..he will be bench. I would want Kyle Walker Peters and Kieren Trippier back at Spurs. Why not give Dele Alli another chance? Also, I hear that Willian is available after walking out of his contract with Olympiacos. He is a gem of a player as well. Remember Oscar? I think he is available after retiring from his club in China. If Southampton are relegated, we can go for Aaron Ramsdale and a couple of the better Southampton players. Ramsdale would be seething from his treatment by Arteta at Arsenal and if we sign him, he would have a point to prove.
