@@denk664 This is so sad to see. City once had such a vibrant and witty fan culture while they were still playing at Maine Road, very passionate and loyal fans who self-evidently supported their club in the 2nd and 3rd tier as well. A club which has once been quite the opposite of ManUtd in the 90s and early 2000s. Now with these billions from the Middle East, seeing all these posh people from all over the world flying to Manchester, drinking Champagne and wearing shirts with pink club badges in unsightly Emptyhad while constantly taking selfies with a megastore paper bag in their hand, ManCity has become an awful club imho (off the pitch, at least) with an atmosphere of a library. I truly feel for all long-time City fans who cannot afford the tickets or who don't recognise their club anymore. Success can often attract the worst kind of support...

As much as I prefer the real way to watch football standing on the terraces in the cheap seats if you have the opportunity to get in a premium hospitality area in the top flight you should take it. I was fortunate enough to find some privately advertised at Everton with directors box seats (the Southampton game where they didn’t turn up!) 5 course meal & unlimited bar. It was an incredible experience and although we lost the match I had no regrets.

What's college football?
@liamking719 Жыл бұрын
@@Kewickviper Essentially it's "amateur" NFL. Universities field teams that compete across several divisions with the highest being Division 1 FBS which is where the top teams play. Although it's actual university students playing, teams have huge fanbases as these are typically the premier schools within a given region. These games draw much larger crowds than the NFL and a lot of times have bigger fanbases as well. Our college football fans are probably more similar to English football fans than our NFL fans would be. We may not have football hooligans but the atmospheres at these games would objectively rival many European football games. Many of the largest stadiums in the world are actually college football stadiums. I'm leaving quite a bit out but that's my synopsis. I'm a bigger fan of the actual football but being from the Midwestern U.S where football is a religion, it's hard to not be a fan.

That is impressive but it isn't the high end at Man City (I had a season ticket at City over 18 years from 1995 - 2014 and was used to living life in the South Stand near the away fans). Last season I had the fortunate opportunity to be invited by Robinson's brewery to their suite in the Chairman's lounge. We had a circular leather booth with a waitress dedicated to our table. To put it into context, the next best table we could have had was by buying the club, (about 20 feet away behind a black glass screen was the Chairman of City and owners of Fulham). My match seat was on the front row of the second tier about 8 seats from the Chairman (Khaldoon Al Mubarak) and the Fulham owners with carpet on the floor and heated leather seats. It was the best football experience of my life. The food and drink was an incredibly high standard and the whole experience was a day I will never forget. Thankyou Robinsons Brewery.
