Good job man. You took a 30 second discussion and turned it into a 9min+ sponsored video. What a champ. Dude, get a science book. There is no such thing as 'god'. Use some sense. Look at how HUMONGOUS The Universe is. It is HUGE beyond the human imagination. You expect me to believe that there is a 'god' out there who is managing what's happening in this BIG A$$ Universe...YET this M0F0 is going to take time out of 'his' day to 'create a Steph Curry'? Let me ask you this...where was 'god' when Hamas raped Israeli women/cut the heads off babies/burned the elderly on October 7th? Where was 'god' on 9/11? You expect me to believe that 'god' is so freaking powerful that 'he' can take time to create a Steph Curry...YET is a powerless CUCK when it comes to not doing anything about October 7th or 9/11? Get real.

God has nothing to do with his success. Yes, he was blessed, but he also put in the hard work. God didn’t give him the power to shoot or anything. You and your religion. It makes it sound like Steph was the best player in the NBA because god chose him to. No. Wrong. Steph put in more work than anyone, he put in the effort. He did what others dared not and he was rewarded promptly. God blessed him with life and love, but ultimately it was Steph who made his Basketball dreams come true.

Excellent commentary. I know many people did not know that there were close individuals to Steph attempting to destroy his career. Truth be told, Keith Smart was the tip of the ice burg if we look at the entire league AND the entire basketball sports media. It's ridiculous how many Curry had to fight. And we haven't even included refs who refuse to call fouls in order to create artificial parity due to Curry's godlike shooting. Even today, they rarely, if ever call fouls when Curry is being hammered. WHich is one reason Curry took it upon himself to beef up.

FYI: Keith Smart is currently the assistant coach for Arkansas. Which means he went from being an assistant coach in the NBA in 2010-11 to a college one in 2023. We know what Steph has done since then, but it'd be different if he was a college head coach. It means Smart spent the 12 years since at the same level and just to get demoted to a lower level this year.

Honestyl we need an interview of what Monta Ellis, Acie Law and Keith Smart thinks of Steph rn, no matter if they were the reason that drives Steph to become what he is now, there is no changing the fact that they was hating on him openly, Monta felt threatened by Steph, Keith Smart probably didn't like him, or doesn't believe on a rookie, and Acie Law is Acie Law, though I have a feeling they were jealous since Lebron saw something on Steph back at Davidson
@bishopwitdajuice4203

Monta said he couldn't play with Steph cause they were the same position. Warriors needed a traditional SG. And he was right! They lacked too much defense and size. Acie Law had no business playing over Steph. That was on Keith Smart

A whole lot of people saw something in Steph when he was at Davidson. That is how he became a lottery pick. When you score 30 points in the second half against Gonzaga to upset them in the NCAA tournament, it tends to bring attention.

@@bishopwitdajuice4203 it was a period from the 2000s where 1 on 1 was the major plays. 3 point chucking wasnt allowed yet. they would rather go 1 on 1 with monta. now to trust an older nba player to a sophomore. and back then 30 40 50 players where sorry for the term.. where "white and slow". now can people also fault keith smart for not recognizin jeremy lin in his rookie season? i doubt it

If the coach didn't believe in his no way he plays a rookie that many minutes. 99% of Coaches don't let really young players close out games they trust the Vets more. Steph can hold this against that coach. Not because the coach was wrong. But because Steph ended up being a franchise player, an mvp, an all time great and the greatest shooter. Stars are entitled to a lot of things. But folks, this is his nba coaches coached!!!! Drafted players sometimes didn’t even play while games just because. Ask Kobe. Got 15 mins per game off the bench rookie year. Barely played sometimes. During this era, young players earned their time in practice and in short minutes. Today you give everything to your franchise players eg the rookie from the kings who started in their playoffs. I stand with curry but do hunting for this coach. He wasn’t thinking outside the box enough.

I dont see this as a Keith Smart is wrong/Steph Curry is right situation. It's like Spider Man's with great power comes great responsibility speech after losing Uncle Ben/Aunt May. You look at the GOATs- MJ was cut in high school, right? Tom Brady was the 7th QB on a losing team in High School, went to Michigan and sat behind Griese and split time with Drew Henson, and was pick 199 in the draft. This was Steph Curry's chip on his shoulder. Would Steph have risen to his status now and transform the NBA? He might have been very good, but I doubt he would have gone psycho and transform the league the way he has

This is gonna sound really nerdy and to an extent unimportant, but your graph at 4:57 is labeled wrong. Your X and Y-axis titles' should be swapped. The games played is the independent factor, and the minutes per game is the dependent factor. When you have minutes on the bottom (as X) it reads as... Ex: "12 minutes with 14 Games played." Where it should read as... "14 games with 12 minutes played" It makes the graph easier to read and is more comprehensible :) Just thought id share.

Mike my man... Is that the same Keith Smart that LOST to Oscar and Marcel on the 1987 pan american games as a PG??? King Rex (Chapman) and THE ADMIRAL were there as well...

Serbia is not cold. Well during the winter yes. During the summer it gets up to 100 F and 40 42 celzius. Sorry but I had to react to you calling Serbia cold. Playing basketball here also isn't that bad. We are a basketball country. We love it. As for Steph - He is one of my favorite players so yes, he should have never been benched. But it did make him even better ^^

It wasn’t that Smart was trying to put Steph down, he was trying to get him to get stronger and play defense….which Steph didn’t like to do!

My guy Mike get your facts straight....Acie Law came to Olympiacos Piraeus in 2012 and elevated the team to back to back Euroleague titles as our starting point guard...also it's not his fault that he got more playing time than Steph it's completely Keith Smart's fault.

Honestly I would hate Smart too because before Steph Curry really started becoming the player he is now before then the Warriors wasn't nothing so around that time if Smart was the coach then I'd dislike Smart too

Keith Smart suffered from BKS: Bob Knight Syndrome. Name one coach who played for Knight (Smart, Steve Alford, Mike Woodson, Randy Wittman, Mike Krzyzewski, et al.) who isn't/wasn't a total control freak, just like their mentor. That doesn't mean they are/were bad coaches--obviously--but it is/was their way or the highway, and freelancing is anathema to guys like that. And nobody freelances more than Steph.

Maybe the worse Bob Knight guy was Quinn Buckner as head coach of the Dallas Mavericks in the 90s. One year, and absolutely no one wanted him to come back for a second.

Love the story, m8! But do you have to yell "Serbia" that much 🤣? Serbia is one of the greatest basketball countries in the world, one of the Jugoslavia's successors. A team that brought down both the USA and USSR numerous times. Sure their inner championship isn't that great. But still gotta show some respect, don't you think?

Gonna be the one to say it he is better than lbj as a player whole, aside from a shooter, passer, handles athletic ability he runs the whole game sometimes has WON championships without having to change teams of course his team made a difference but all around a better player in my opinion not knocking on lbj he is a great player but still this generation after Kobe he is the one to follow even kobes answer to steph was crazy he is a killer i dont see lbj as that..🤷🏻‍♂️

Tbf, he did join Serbian side Partizan Belgrade after the 2010-11 NBA season, but he moved to Greece in January & actually won back-to-back Euroleague titles as a solid rotation player.

also mind set. demarcus cousins knew the greatest enemy of big men was weight. he never payed enough attention to it. I dig boogie and think the kings did him wrong and should have dump the coach and got someone like marc jackson the second he left the warriors. even with the scandal. but the kings honestly stay dumb. frankly, I'd let there current coach run the whole thing. lol even though he's better a defense and needs more players who can play both ends well

Steve Kerr benched Curry for half the 4th quarter in just about every game during their 5 straight NBA Finals season. He played far less 4th quarter minutes per game for Kerr than for Smart during this period. Dude must HATE Kerr. (jk- Curry sat out the first 5-6 minutes of the 4th as part of his regular rest after playing the entire 3rd. He routinely sat entire 4th quarters in blowouts because of this pattern. It was Curry's preferred rest pattern because he never had to leave the game except at the end of quarters. Maybe Smart is the reason he hates leaving the court in the middle of a quarter.)
