Gotta love Corman. Ya know, it looks a little like you were out for your daily walk, heard the news, and launched into this off-the-cuff tribute. And Corman would LOVE this! Used the set twice? Check! Talent gets paid once? Check! Got it in the can early and under budget? Check! "Baby, I've got a job for you..." Awww, crap. Gonna miss ya, Roger. Godspeed.

I'm a huge fan of Roger Corman's schlock films, they're the best. "The Intruder" is such a departure, but shows Corman knew how to tell a story, and Shatner was perfectly cast. RIP.

I’ll have time watch that one… I like Battle Beyond the Stars (1980) produced by Roger Corman, which has reasonably good production values for its time, riding the Star Wars success. Music by young James Horner, some of the musical themes clearly reused LATER for Star Trek II WOK. And SFX by young James Cameron. I recently rewatched it and then realized Zach Snyder’s high-budget Rebel Moon on Netflix shares SO MANY story points!

Just looked it up, It's listed as The Stranger, 1962 on IMDB. It says the crew were actually thrown out of East Prairie, OH for being communists, and their lives were actually threatened as well. Interesting story. Funny story about the baby! Thanks for sharing, I'll try to look this film up. Insider just posted an interview on their youtube channel with him if anyone is interested.

He did some entertaining stuff. The Raven was cool. Battle beyond the stars. not so much. Incredibly prolific. A pillar in the world of cinema. Sad.
