The reason why vegans have to take a shit-ton of supplements to not die is why most herbivores do occasionally eat meat. We had pet dwarf hamsters and one straight up murdered and ate the other one.

Yeah, I was always on the side of "yeah, humans will eat anything, but if we were classified as predator or prey, when it really comes down to it, as a group, we're prey." Because, people will run if one person runs, even if it's for no reason. It's an instinctual fear of something coming to get you. People are scared of things that usually make sense, like the dark, or big animals that might either kill to eat or kill to defend. Scared of spiders, yeah, there's a reason for that. Snakes? Same thing. I know a phobia is considered an IRRATIONAL fear of something. But, is it really irrational, if you think of why people would be scared of that so-called "not scary" thing?
@electricbayonet2 Жыл бұрын
But is that enough to classify humans as a prey species? From the description, it sounds like we would be pack hunters (especially of the pursuit predator variety). We don’t rely on overpowering prey or having some exceptionally deadly natural weapon. Instead, we travel in groups with individual stamina that drops a heck of a lot more slowly than the stuff we’re chasing.
@CassieMichael Жыл бұрын
@@electricbayonet2 Don't think I don't know what you're talking about. I do. But, there are other facts that don't jive with your response. Predators, as a rule have sharp teeth. Humans don't. You could say that plenty of herbivores can have sharp teeth, like gorillas and hippos, but that's for defense. Humans don't defend themselves with their teeth. You could also say that humans are natural omnivores, but most bears are omnivores and all bears have sharp teeth. Humans are so contradictory. We have no defenses, no physical offenses, and no superior strength or speed. The only thing we have going for us, evolutionarily speaking, is our brain. And, if we never learned how to create and then use projectile weapons like javelins or throwing rocks from high places down onto other animals, we'd never have gotten away from the trees and a leafy diet with fruit supplements. But, as of now, humans are absolutely broken for no sensible reason. According to nature, humans should be herbivorous prey animals in the vein of gibbons and lemurs. We aren't supposed to be hunters. But, someone used a cheat code and a huge command prompt on us. That's what I think. It's no wonder there are those out there that think that humans were created through DNA manipulation by aliens. It would explain a lot.
@bluekeldeo7515 Жыл бұрын
The reason that phobia is irrational is that it’s very VERY severe fear. The the point of obsession and convulsions. Phobias are misinterpreted throughout social media. It’s not fear, it’s worse. You cannot think about what’s causing that phobia even if something remotely represents it. It disturbs your way of life and basic functions.
@electricbayonet2 Жыл бұрын
@@CassieMichael But we _do_ have sharp teeth. They’re the front-half of our mouths. We don’t use them primarily to kill things or defend ourselves, but why would that matter? We’re advanced omnivores, and it was the evolutionary dead-ends of mankind that had more pronounced teeth and biting capability. Contradictory? Did you ignore what I said about being pursuit predators? What part of that needs rhino skin, cheetah speed, and shark teeth? Are anacondas and pythons prey species because they don’t have a set of beeg mordar teef? And you know what? Yes. I agree. If humans were bad at the stuff we’re good at, we would actually be bad at it. It’s a logical tautology. Congratulations.
@CassieMichael Жыл бұрын
@@electricbayonet2 I do wonder if sometimes people think that just because we have big brains that automatically makes you smarter than others. If the front of a human's mouth were sharp, we'd be fictional vampires. Also, rhino skin, cheetah speed, and shark teeth never came up in my explanation, but thank you for adding them unnecessarily to this conversation. Anacondas and pythons do have "beeg mordar teef" as you so Neanderthal ically out it. They're effing SNAKES, dummy! Don't be stupid. And, as for your final comment, it's nice to see someone being a complete waste of passive aggressive space on the Internet. But, that's par for the course, now, isn't it?
