you can deepen your voice with testosterone but estrogen will not make someones voice higher. in the body changing sense ... mtf tend to be "luckier" because testosterone makes way more drastic and noticeable changes than estrogen

Great interview. My only comment would be that in 1982, when I made my first attempt at transition, we were women. The idea of "trans" is political and Stephen Whittle defines it in a utube video. We are not the same as transvestites and its very unhelpful to suggest that we might be. My old mate, Major Alf Torrents was very kind to me when we had dinner in 2006. I also had a nice message from Jan Hamilton, formerly of the paras, when I wrote to her to thank her for her "sex change soldier" documentary.

Some peeps watching Hannah's positive role model might have the impression that all is well today but the recent Women and Equality Committee's report on "Transgender Equality" has reported high levels of medical abuse amongst many other problems. 98 cases of medical abuse were presented to the GMC after a 2013 hashtag "Transdocfail". Of these cases, the GMC claimed publicly that they were going to investigate 39 cases, including mine. In fact, not a single one has been actioned and the Committee came to the conclusion that the GMC do not take "transphobia" seriously.

In fact, the GMC do not take "doctors" sexually assaulting patients seriously. Back in 1982, I was an inmate at St Peter's Radley,, the boarding school outside Oxford. Radley was the subject of a BBC documentary which was broad cast in 1980 and which I have on my utube channel

+Amanda Greeson : Two types trans people: One: The DNA is abnormal, so their body and mind like other gender, Two: DNA is normal, yet for any postnatal reason, the person would like to be other gender for better self or she/he wants to feel better. The first type is very rare, but the second type is common. For what I watched, Hannah belonged to the second type, her look, her voice, for her career- soldier and mechanical engineer etc. ,all of them tend to be a man not a woman. But I guess, being a man, she is not tall enough, that’s it.

+Shining Hans Actually, DNA isn't the only fact and medical evidence suggests that because the brain and body have different hormone washes during incubation and that trans people tend to have a non-male brain...crazy that. Also the studies in australia that pretty much proved that they could identify TG people by DNA even when it wasn't the marker say that such disparity isn't as rare as we were once led to believe.
