Parents should accept what their child is and love them unconditionally, but the parents should also want their children to get help. Same with being transgender. People who are trans are much more likely to self harm and abuse substances to cope with their gender dysphoria. They should get the help they need to cope with it in a healthy manner.

Try and understand what this must be like from the father’s perspective. But this clip is the father reaction, and i see nothing transphobic. I see a man devastated by (his perceived) guilt, struggling to even see his son. He is even convinced that basically his sons dysmorphia is caused by a joke he made once.
