There were just too many big taunts in this era of the Hurthstone Arena. Each player having 4 or 5 high health taunt cards, 6-10 HP, with high 5+ attack, slows the late game down to a crawl, and reduces decision-making as players are forced to sink 40+ damage into taunt minions.

Odd DH is pretty good, but Demon Hunter has an overarching problem. There's not much that DH can do in Arena besides hard aggro, and Secret Mage eats aggro for breakfast.

Arena rotates the sets in the card pool about every two months. Right now Darkmoon Faire, Scholomance, DH Initiate, Ashes of Outland, Galakrond's Awakening, Whispers of the Old Gods, Classic, and Basic are in the pool.

The problem with arena is that the rewards are ridiculously random u can get 130 gold from 6 wins or 85 and to compensate for the 45 gold deficit they give you a rare card which is worth literally 20 dust. The rewards should be standardized so you don’t get completely robbed by bad rng. If they implemented a system where you would get a set amount of gold and a pack or w.e increasing per win then it would make more sense and literally detract nothing. It’s not fun playing arena and just hoping you don’t get awful reward rng, it really detracts from the experience for me.

Arena could do with being able to swap cards out, or add cards if you continue to win like Expeditions in LoR. It gives you chances to actually make some hot garbage work out, instead of forcing you to stay with the same horrible deck for a max of 12-14 games. When I actually played this game, I would sometimes just give up on the run around 7 wins, because I simply got bored of playing the deck.

While entertaining to watch, these sorts of videos are, sadly, terrible. Why? Because they are wholly unrepresentative of the state of arena. Trump has had absurdly lucky draw, which anyone who is inspired to play arena after a video like this likely won't have, and be subjected to RNG of Arena. Decisions matter, but they seem to be the minor component of gameplay, with draw RNG/deck quality being the primary decider of outcomes. Last game was the best example of this. Trump was almost handed a free win with the legendary from Brightwing, which, if I was his opponent, would have caused me to jump out the window.

The reason why Demon Hunter is so bad in Arena is mostly due to the fact that Arena is, by design, made to promote slower archetypes and thus offers cards that do not synergize well with Demon Hunter's high tempo design. Also, Card Draw, THERE'S NO FUCKING CARD DRAW FOR DEMON HUNTERS IN ARENA.

@@SomersBugtopia Besides Spectral Sight, the others tend to get slotted into the mid-to-high tier buckets, but mostly with Skull of Gul'dan being a top bucket card it gets really hard to choose catch-up mechanics over powerful threats, and you ultimately want BOTH, but can't have them.
