My dad died when I was 18. His best friend pulled me aside later that summer.. and he knew I had dropped out of college after the death of my dad, my best friend... So Bert Walker told me to get into sales, 'sell cars, boats, airplanes, refrigerators, sell anything', he counseled me. I did not follow his advice for years. And I traveled the country looking for whatever work opportunities I could find and apprenticed in several trades...Auto body work, Painting, cooking, plumbing, concrete work, Trucking, and Finally after moving to Alaska in 1982 and , earning some good $$$ fishing and working on tug boats, Finally I earned enough $$$ to return to college full-time at age 37 and fulfill my dad's dream of me graduating from college. I graduated with dual BS degrees in Psychology and Sociology, when I was age 41... It was about then that I began to study sales in books from Joe Girard, Brian Tracy and Zig Ziglar, Tom Hopkins... and with their help I figured out how to sell the kids I taught (3rd, 4th and 7th& 8th grades), to like, enjoy and get really good at reading, writing and math. My students became the Top Students at every school I worked at! It did not matter to me what skills students had when they entered our class I just worked as hard as I could to get them caught-up with their classmates when the school year was over -and help them have the skills and self-esteem to be ready for the next grade... Now all these years later in 2016 I retired (at age 62), and a year later I am totally disgusted with the measly amount I get from SS $612.00... and so I am studying Sales and how to earn $ via Commissions in $$$ and jumping into the Game for the first real time in my life. I know my dad and Bert Walker would be Proud of both my accomplishments in the classrooms and of my new direction "Re-Tire-ing ' to Go again even after all these years, and Grant Cardone is the one helping me learn how to be a Professional Salesman. Thank You Grant Cardone. You Rock! Miles Cobbett

Thank you grant I'm very introverted I don't even have friends for Christ sake. but since real estate is my passion that makes me talk to people I feel like I can be the greatest sales person but I tell everyone you can't get me to do nothing I don't understand. I have been watching your vids and practicing my pitch in the bathroom, room, while I'm eating 😂😂and I even tested all your curriculum I learned so far on my family it worked! But after I told them I was playing around I realized I can do this! I MIGHT CANT LOOK PEOPLE IN THE EYE PERSONALLY BUT WITH MY PASSION FOR REAL ESTATE IM LITERALLY LOOKING AT A PERSON BRAIN IM FOCUSED AS HELL IM SO GLAD I FOUND ONE PERSON I CAN FINALLY LEARN FROM -thanks uncle G

I am getting up a 3:30am daily and just watching hours and hours, to me it's like free education. I am also reading your 10x book right now and love it. Thanks for helping me think bigger. That is the biggest thing I've learned from you so far....I was thinking way too small; we all are.

I'm saving cash then calling you and flying over there once I've reached my target. You have made a big contribution to the reason I've been able to change my life Grant. Thank you so much 😊

Great Video GC. There are some amazing motivational/personal development people out there like Tony Robbins but I love how GC says it like it is. You have to start from the bottom if you have nothing, the media shows us the big ticket success stories and Instagram millionaires but you can only get there by starting something of value for others and then selling your idea/product to people

I got what I got from years and years of unpaid family caretaking and it's more than a poor Tallahassee girl from the wrong side of town could have ever imagined or hoped for. I got it all by putting many others first for decades wasting my youth on wiping wrinkly hineys lol. It seems like it was by default. Imagine what I woulda had if I had only applied myself. Listen to him young people. Put yourself first it probably won't work out for you like it eventually did for me. I got my dreams when I was 53 and I was darn lucky I got what I got. Put u first!!!!!!!

The One Thing You Have to Know to Grow a Business: Most of my teenage and early adult years I was described as out of control, troubled, difficult and overly-active. Like most kids I had what appeared to be endless energy and a curiosity for life. My dad died when I was 10 so I grew up without the direction of a father, raised by a mother, who was just short of sainthood, but clearly had her hands full bringing up three very strong-willed and high energy teen-aged boys. Moving through puberty and into adulthood is challenging and without the direction of a father complicated. Most of the time I was just bored out of my mind, looking for activity and adventure and trying to figure out how to get my day interesting. From the ages of 15 to 25, life got complicated for me and I started experiencing more than my share of problems. The first showed up in high school when I found myself unable get along with the ‘in crowd’, then problems with authority figures, which accelerated to abusing drugs and alcohol and then the inability to keep a job. When I was 25 I finally turned my life around. I committed to learning the art of sales. And now I want to help you do the same.
