Cut my teeth learning to pull focus directly on the lens, then moving on from there. It taught me the important lesson of treating the lens as an extension of yourself. Once you do, your moves become more consistently confident. So many people miss this when they’re first starting out!

Please make a video on how to actually pull focus. How to know when you've nailed perfect focus and things like that. I know there are different ways for different systems but still, it would be very helpful so we'll know what to expect when we get to manually pull focus.

I am one to request to close down to get a little more wiggle room especially on tighter lenses. The bokeh difference doesn't break the feel if you go up 2 stops on 85mm or higher shots. The dp's I've worked with would refuse to drop down from t1.8 when we are outside with plenty of light and plenty of iso to play with..

I just ordered this follow focus today after watching your video. I was thinking of getting one for (don't throw rocks at me) for my zoom lens (for the actual zoom). Got a nice little discount and am looking forward to it. Had my a7S III in my hand with my rig for like 30 minutes visualizing how this could be helpful and where it can fit. Because I shoot mainly run and gun, and because the focus on the a7S III is great, mounting it on the left, next to my handle practically brings a wheel next to my left hand, while my right hand is ready to modify any controls that are next to the grip or tap the screen for a track focus. Still thinking if I should mount it to the cage or to my mini-rig that has 2 rods and handles. Lego is fun :) I'll test it once it arrives.

I really want to get a focus pull device like this. The thing that's been holding me back though is that I don't own cinema lenses and therefore my zoom ring keeps on turning even if it's maximum or minimum focus length has been hit. This is why a focus puller's (imo) best function, markers, won't work for me... I thought these A and B stoppers would be my solution, but now that I think of it my lens focusses faster or slower depending on the speed in which I turn the ring. Because of that the markers still won't be consistent. Does anyone have any solutions? Edit: yeah just need other lenses rip
