Deon Cole told a story about being the beneficiary of Katt's generosity. A woman came up to him after a show, paid him a compliment and put something in his hand. He didn't realize until later that she had given him $1000.00 It was done anonymously, but he was able to put two and two together and realized it was from Katt Williams. We need more of this.

Katt is a humanitarian. He has adopted children, has a workforce where 75% of his employees are women, he provides a platform for up and coming comics and pays them well. He also, donates money to un-housed people across the country. He does this in private and don't boast about his "good" deeds which allows the people he helped to have a level of dignity. Katt has demonstrated that he is a man of integrity... Katt pointed out how Steve and Cedric were willing to steal in order to get ahead in the business. So, what else aren't they willing to do. Additionally, they stole from comics that did not have a big platform especially in the 90s, so they didn't have to give them writing credits. A lot of big comics have writers on their team. Why not give them writing credits if you like their jokes.

Thanks for highlighting this Karen. They recently showed the clip where Katt was asked if he was homeless while he filmed Friday After Next. He paused and looked like he wanted to tear up. He in so many ways said yes and why he was there at 5am when the crew got there & was there where when the crew left at night. Paying it forward by giving his tithes to the homeless camps in the city he performs in. This is golden & how it should be. Ppl are coming forward saying how he helped them and never said a word. Reminds me of how Prince operated. Katt doesn’t want to be a “slave” to the industry and decided to make his own way. This is rare and why he’s not praised in the industry. It’s triggering to those that took the kind of shortcuts he spoke on bc they have chalked it up as networking & want to forget how they really got put on😩

I have mad respect for Katt Williams, and the interview was brilliant, Shannon Sharpe did it masterfully. Like you started your show off with, everyone is talking about what Katt said about this one or that one, the actual gems that he was dropping was that of his life’s experiences! That was my take on how brilliant that interview was… Now the NFL thing, since the time Kaepernick took the knee, shortly thereafter I decided not to watch anymore NFL, no more NFL highlights, not anything from the NFL. In my opinion, you’re absolutely right Karen, the NFL is a bit Plantation-esque on how they treat us Black Men… Awesome show as always, love the content!

Trump was elected because white folks were thoroughly p.o.ed about Obama being president. I worked with 4 Caucasian guys who couldn't believe Obama was elected. They wouldn't speak on it when I was around, but I walked in on some conversations. I caught one that was so racist, I found another job and quit. I was the Only black AND only female in the Tech department. They asked me why I was quilting. I responded, stating that if they felt that way about a black man, how the hell did they feel about me???? I received silence.

Some folk sleep on how intelligent Katt is and that he's put on 46 comedians. Shannon shared and Katt confirmed that he read with comprehension non-fiction books at a very young age. The attentive can listen to the man and tell he's smarter than your average bear or comedian. Katt's track record of truth telling offstage exceeds that of many others in entertainment. He realizes it comes with a cost and he's decided to pay it. I appreciate that he came on the same broadcast where he feels lies were told about him or events he was in and he planned to set the record straight.
