I'm studying economics. Nvidia is over confident. We have a monopolistic competitive market structure this year i.e. we have PS5, XBOX Series X and RDNA 2. These are all different products from different companies; however, they are all fighting for the same market share. Moreover, all of these products contain AMD chips. It's just bad marketing. Nvidia establishes the momentum for the market but fail to capitalize leaving them wide open for AMD to counter with a product differentiation. Customers will seek alternatives because a monopolistic competitive market structure operates like a retail market in a mall. It would have been better for Nvidia to raise the prices a little and maintain stock. They can drop the price later when competition arrives.

By the time they have some stock for the 3080 10Gb (apparently they never did) give or take 2 months, they will probably be close to announcing a new 3080 version with 20Gb VRAM. So I for me it's gonna be a waiting game. Problem is the same shit might happens again. Might have to wait 4 more months , maybe 6 if the same shit happens with scalpers. I just don't understand why don't they take pre orders and fulfill the orders as they go. What's so hard about that? They could have avoided this shit show. Might as well wait months and get the rumored 3080 20Gb version, IF there's some stock left after 0.001 seconds.

@@oxtrader730 Very true. Current prices of 3080 in my country are 950-1000€ and those are the cheaper models. On top of that there aren't any in stock. They are just probing the market with those prices. EU got around 200 cards this round so no wonder prices are just starting to get up. Also not to forget that there are lots of cards left from last gen on the shelves with crazy prices like 1200€ for 2080Ti. Who's gonna buy that now? It's just a huge loss for retailers so they will do anything to jack the price up of 3080. When 3090 comes out it will probably sell for 2000€. It's a very sad situation :(

This is what just came in my Ibuypower pre-built. I was wondering which “mystery” 3080 it would be and it looks like it’s not a disappointment. It also has a 360 mm AIO on the i9-11900 and 32GB Teamgroup T-Force Delta RGB RAM and 750 watt gold rated psi. Not too bad for $2750 since just the gpu sells for $2650 on Amazon right now.

There are two ASUS TUF 3080s on the market right now: the OC edition and the Non-OC edition. There are literally NO reviews around for the non-OC edition, making me suspect that ASUS cheaped out on the cooler for that model and sent the better (and more expensive) OC edition to all the reviewers. The only reason I know this is the OC edition is because you can see it on the box at 0:33, you don't mention it at any point in your video, description, or title. You even link to the normal edition in your description, which is a different card!!!

I have an Corsair RM1000i Power Supply, but not enough room in my case to pull through a second PCIe Power Cable to the graphics card. Will one cable be enough to run this card without problems? The cable I use at the moment has a second 8 Pin connector I do not use a t the moment with my RTX2060... Maybe run my PSU in Single Rail Mode?
