One Christ, One Trinity, ONE WILL, not many wills! This is a huge problem today. Thank you for the good message! Very needful today.

I remember that when I became Christian from my agnostic/atheistic background, I first started attending a Church just like you described. Social issues, discrimination “love” acceptance, i’m glad that I was able to go from this church, to the true Church of God. The one holy catholic and apostolic Church.

thank you for this message, i have found so much confusion in the churches. I was baptised as a adult, but could not find a church.I was not conformed, I could not find one. The Church of England most said was broad and good place to be, when I saw in the last few years what has. happened there, I realised I was save from joining it. I then began studying to read the bible in Greek, I eventually read John’s Gospel, and this helped me to know further that something was amiss in these churches. Reading like a child, each word in Greek, over a few years, was like directly linking to the Apostles. Then I started to read and learn about Orthodoxy line, this is where it led me. I now feel myself Orthodox. Your words and the power of your gentle witness and intense love are so apparent. Where is your monestary, I would love to visit, I am in the UK. Christ is Risen, Ziba

I was not christened as a child but chose to be baptised in what was called a high church of England (Angell Town, Brixton) and later confirmed by Mervyn Stockwood, Bishop of Southwark. I later moved to southern Europe and felt more at home in the Roman Catholic churches than I had done in England. Now I feel an affinity with the Orthodox faith, in fact wherever Christ is the centre of devotion.

Father, thanks for your words. Let mi say several comments. Prior to my conversion to Orthodoxy, I was a member of a mainline Protestant progressive (pro LGBT etc.) church for seven years, and you describe this phenomenon very well. I even studied Protestant theology remotely for a year, concluding that "theology is what smart and educated people make up about God". Then I went through a severe psychospiritual crisis, and three years ago I was baptized into the Orthodox Church, where I found a spiritual home. I totally agree with you that there is a humanistic agenda in the environment of these liberal churches, the interpretation of the faith is de facto up to the individual believers, and these churches are trying to "follow the trends if times", i.e. actual suculas morality, but that doesn't work (I visited Norway two years ago and saw their state churches empty). On the other hand, after my conversion to Orthodoxy, I am somewhat disappointed that if there is a social issue and criticism of it in a sermon, it is without exception sexual morality (LGBT, same sex marriage) or abortions. And it's always with the addendum that it's done by those "people outside corrupted by modern times". And yet, I know that within the congregations we have, for example, exist problems like domestic violence (an absolutely abominable thing from my point of view), that in the Orthodox countries in the Balkans corruption is quite a prevalent sin rather than LGBT propaganda etc. Russia perhaps doesn't even need to be mentioned. Of course you are right in that Christ is the Head of the Church and must not be confused with the social agenda, but my point is that when the social agenda is mentioned, it is usually limited to two topics. I have a very good priest and I have a good relationship with him. We are a small community in a non-Orthodox country made up of a few Czechs and immigrants from Ukraine. After my priest preached again time about the sinfulness of homosexual relationships, I later personally ask him: "Father, it doesn't seem to me that homosexual relationships in particular are a problem in our community. Of course I don't know everything, but what about sins like domestic violence? I do not know, but maybe it is more common. Or other sins..." It was obvious that I was on target. He said, "Well, yeah, but what do I do about it?" And that's what bothers me about Orthodoxy. That it has eliminated its prophetic critical role to two themes. I think the Church should have such a role (see John Chrysostomos!), but of course second only to offering salvation through Christ, as You said. How to balance this issues?

Yes! I'm new to Orthodox and effectively new to Christianity, but I'm so lost on which group is authentic or who broke away in the schism, and finding a local parish that fits me culturally and if it's in communion with the right faction... It's overwhelming

The german priest "Hans Milch" often taught: Its not about a group, not about a "we". Its about you alone what you decide to say. Do you say yes or no to what Jesus has to offer. One must think about what he has to offer and that he would offer it if u was the only person on the world.

@@michaelrupf776 okay but the video seems to be saying the opposite? That the priests who say "that's on the individual" can end up misleading people who then stray off - thinking they're following Christ but they're actually not. How do you even know where to start or how to determine what's true?

@@fractal_3 Bible says one hast to take the love for the truth. Also overcoming the world. If one says really yes to christ. It is still as sad as paul found out about himself. He wants to do good but does bad.

@@michaelrupf776 I'm sorry, I'm afraid I'm a few steps behind where you're at. I was raised JW so effectively I'm really new to most concepts in Christianity. Statements like "overcoming the world" and "saying yes to Christ" are far over my head. I have little to no frame of reference for what that means. JW would take those same statements to say that THEY are the truth. All I know is that Orthodox seems to be the most authentic to the Bible, at least from what little I know/understand/have read so far. And I know that resonates but I don't know where the rest of that path is. I'm still back at the beginning of the trail, trying to find my way through the fog. I can't even read the signposts, they're both figuratively and literally in a different language

ask Him to show you. When I asked 20 years ago after years of searching, He appeared to me in a dream and directed me to the Bible. His words to me “you keep looking in the words of men to know me, I tell you here (specifically start here Matthew I) who I am. Now read.” I promise if you call out to Him He will answer you! Maybe not right at that moment but in His perfect timing. For now, read the Bible. I especially love John. I am not Orthodox.

At last, a clear description of what is eating away at the foundations of so many 'churches' especially in Britain. Trying to be all things to all men is anti-Christian. Jesus knew language is not an exact science, there are many tongues in our world so He taught in pictures aka parables which we can all understand. There is no excuse for deviating from His Message.

Small letter T truths? Some of the things you list are outright deceptions & frauds. You say we should weep for each person, yes, but what of shepherds who fail to warn the flock the flock about lies and deceptions and instead call them small letter T truths? Lord have mercy.
