There's always that one boat in the lock that somehow ends up losing control and facing the other way. This is the first time I saw it happen when it was the only boat in the lock though. Quite an achievement. (The trick is to grab on to the ropes asap and hold on. If you try to hover like they did, or not hold on enough, the currents will flip you around. The force is not that strong if you face the right way from the start)

Issue is we never actually got to the ropes in time for them to open so they saw us about to grab ropes and then they opened even if we were not ready so then it was quickly game over...😂

The first time in a boat i was taking the same route ish. Was worried about the locks but it went all good. I approached the lock a bit slow tho, so slow that they yelled at me haha. All in all, my first ever boat ride, 3 days, Skärgården to Västerås.

After the day I had I just wanna say: to anyone who's ever been a victim of hate / violence because of their appearance, gender, orientation, race : DO NOT ever let a hateful notion 'there's something wrong with me' sink in. Kinda agree, but his boat is 52 feet (I think) and that's big enough to be seen as a yacht. In any case, yacht is a better term for the algorithm and helps give the video more exposure (I assume). :)

You run out of fuel, because you are not trimmed right at top speeds... you are throwing a rooster tail, and yes it looks cool... but the more water you throw up, the less your fuel economy. The cavitation generated with surface piercing drives will suck your fuel down like an energy vampire !! Also, ... SPEED = Distance divided by time...DISTANCE = Speed x Time.... TIME = Distance divided by speed... you Should always calculate your adventures and have a passage plan. (especially when you have the kids on da boat. )

Jon, learn how to,calculate your fuel usage. Running out is not funny, nothing to laugh about. You did it once. If you go full speed expect to only be able to drive a few miles… As I understand it, the boat has a very small fuel tank at 1000 liters?

Had one engine in reverse and one front but boat did not even spin by that in current so throttles up on both reverse and front but still nothing, was a bit slow like this with old props but with new ones we tried it simply does not turn if current or wind, but we live and we learn!
