I met a few people I vaguely knew with my best friend at a bar. We partied and drank until close, then went back to this girls acerage to party some more. Anyways, this one guy was wearing leather pants, and in my head I kept thinking about that episode. Anyways, the night continues on and it's summer and hot. This guy takes off his leather pants and went for a swim in a dugout. When he got out he couldn't get his pants back on and everyone there was calling him Ross.

This and Everybody Loves Raymond-I moved from New York City to Long Island AND, most importantly, a MIL that LOOKED like Marie and was mean. I also grew up in Brooklyn across the street from my GP, and my brother's family. It worked great BC Nana was so nice, and I would have my adorable niece waiting for me at the corner wanting to 'dress up Rocky (Boxer) in drag". My funny SIL scared me as a joke and asked "how does my 4 year old daughter know what 'drag' is?" amd watch my face . So I said 'ask my father" and he covered for me.

Took me until my 50s to adopt that wisdom. It is esp important when you live in a big city like New York and commute...used to wear high heels on the walk to the bus to the subway, then another walk from there to my Wall St job, I not only had the severe pain by the end of the day, but I got harassed a LOT at every step. As in Working Girl, I learned to wear sneakers until I got to the stairs to my building and put on my heels (ironically, same one Melanie Griffith ended up in). However, I STILL worried about what others thought for a couple of decades until FREEDOM.

Well, it was a bit of a stretch, but during that time most people weren’t really competing to see who could get the most freakishly fluorescent teeth. So if it was a real situation, he probably didn’t want to come off like he was trying too hard. But yeah, her reaction wasn’t realistic. I thought the jellyfish story was much more unbelievable because she could’ve totally gone for a wee in a bucket, like the one Joey was using for the hole, for example, & then just poured it on herself. 🤷🏼‍♀️
