Additionally, the gap is wide enough to actually hook a fish (not always the case with circle hooks). I purchased the 8/0, but probably should have got the 9/0 (they seem slightly smaller than other 8/0 hooks). Additionally, having the point in-line helps if you drift fish. I have yet to get a serious snag with one of these hooks.

The snell differs because the tag end doesn't originally get passed back through the eye. Or a loop pushed through. It's a single pass in, start low on the shank, and wrap back up to the eye. This is a loop through, start at the eye, and work down and capture the tag end with the loop and pull. But I mean they do the same thing so they're similar in that aspect.

@@chrisleal6321 the snell is wildly superior. Easier to tie. The 2nd knot doesn't even go through the eye, so the hook is at the wrong angle. Hook ups will be few.

First one is a snail 🐌 knot I don't recommend it on a J hook like he's using it's more for circle hooks with the J hook ull b truning it away from the fishes mouth when u set but u can tie that knot so much easier my using yhe knotless knot u can find videos on you tube but im not knocking the guy he has great skill and amazing control but if ur like me and have arthritis it's 100x easier with the knotless knot but this guy is talented I couldn't hold the line like that to save my life so great work man and always glad to see fishing knowledge passed down great video

Brother you need to learn how to do a snell. Far easier and stronger. At least the first knot went through they eye correctly the 2nd one didn't and will struggle to hook a fish. Also buy some thinner gauge chemically sharpened hooks. Mustard penetrator, or demon circle. Or gamakatsu

primeiro nó: 9 voltas é exagero 7 esta bom, quando foi pego a parte da ponta da linha com o alicate pra apertar o nó é desnecessário a parte da ponta serve como um freio nesse tipo de nó, vc puxa somente o fio principal segurando o anzol pra apertar o nó... "Os únicos 2 nós de pesca para anzóis" o segundo nó é o mesmo nó q o primeiro... vc só não passou a linha pela ruela do anzol, tendi foi nada... e tbm pra q essa delicadeza e precisão toda?? esse tipo de nó se ajeita sozinho é só não encavalar os fios o resto pode ser de qqr maneira q o nó se acerta no final, na verdade é por isso se usa esse tipo de nó na pesca por ser rápido e fácil de fazer... resumindo esse titulo esta errado... tinha q estar escrito. aprendi um nó de anzol veja como se faz. "Os únicos 2 nós de pesca para anzóis que você precisa saber" esse titulo assim vira click bait... e como faço com todos os vídeos assim ganho um block no canal... pq meu deus oque mais tem no youtube é titulo mentirosão pra ganha visualização. se todos começarem a banir esses canais quem sabe um dia youtube volte a ser uma plataforma decente...

Too complicated and time consuming only good for eyeless hooks. Just use clinch knot for mono and paloma for braided line

Why is everyone teaching this wack version of the hair rig all of a sudden? All you need is a knotless knot (also known as a no knot) for any kind of fishing unless you're using spade hooks

The only knot you need to know is the improved clinch knot

Brother that is a very good knot, for line under 30lbs. Over 30 lbs a standard clinch is better. But it won't tie braid to fluorocarbon. Allbright and pr knot are better for those. And don't tie hooks on with it. Use a snell or a loop inserted from the front of the hook. I learned thus from 20 years working in a pro tackle store.
