On average, the /die method is often worth it for reattuning high strain weapons. If the reattune cost is more than 1/3 of what you paid for the weapon, /die is worth it. On average, you will save silver. You should not buy awakened weapons unless you are pretty rich and can afford the risk. Awakened weapons are generally a major silver sink and should not be used until you have a good amount of economy going (several million silver via semi passive econ activities)

you could do that yes After a while just disenchant it and start again! But you'll lose all the progress you've made (aka the fame on the weapon)

You can disenchant it all and removes all strain or you can remove a certain one and replace it but increasing the strain

Depends on the stats and how well upgraded they are! It's hard to say a number but for a 28% mob fame shadowcaller 5.4 people are selling them for 10m give or take

This game mechanic is for billionaire players only tbh. Or at least, that was the intention of devs... Let's be honest: 8.3 weapons will always be better than 5.4 with 3 good attunements, but costing waaay less silver: A good 8.3 weapon = less than 7 millions A 5.4 awek weapon w/ 3 good attn = easily 30 mil (same price as 8.4 lol) "But we can get 25% mob fame" Well, 8.3 or 8.4 will be stronger, so it will kill more mobs/sec, so you will get more fame/hour with 8.4 or 8.3 than with a multi millionaire 5.4 awakened weapon There are good exceptions for high end players: HCE, Avalonian Dungeons. Those PvE activities worths investing in awekened weapons Buuuuut I will probably get a 4.4 healer weappn with mob fame just because "why not" lol I think it is very useful for this role (heal our dudes + get extra fame)

Mob fame is worth it for safe zone since the mobs basically evaporate even with 5.4. In lethal content it is generally not worth it except for relatively safe high end pve in world boss and Ava raids.

@r2020E I did say in my comment and I will say it again: a 8.4 weapon will always be stronger than a 5.4 OP awakened weapon. The time to kill is much higher with 8.4 that u make more fame/hour with it than using a 5.4 Don't forget that you need tons of silver and luck with RNG to get the perfect attunements and crits (sometimes, we spend more silver in 5.4 than directly buying a 8.4) Don't forget that there are hard content in safe zone too: T6 group and static dungeons. The difference between 8.4 and 5.4 awakened is easily noticeable in these content
