The ONLY Beach in Playa Del Carmen With NO SEAWEED │ April 26, 2024

In this video, I’ll show you the only beach in Playa Del Carmen (that I could find) with no Sargasso in the water or on the beach, as of April 25, 2024.

Thanks for watching Miguel! Unfortunately I was back at that beach today and the seaweed was getting bad again… it changes so quickly but I’ll keep uploading shorts at least to keep people informed. I’m a basketball guy too.. I like San Lucho on 5th Ave near CTM. They have nice TVs and always have the games. Usually no audio because of live music but I still like the vibes and screens there. Have a great trip bro!

Ty 4 the info. I heard a few beaches in Cancun & Cozumel aren't too bad compared to others, but staying in PDC is better than having to travel

When you make these videos try to include the outside temperatures too so we can get an idea about that also

Great idea Adam. I guess I forget about that sometimes because we’ve been having literally the same temps everyday: about 89f for the high and 77f for the low, humidity 70%. So mid day feels like 95f. Hope that helps! Luckily, the ocean is still cool enough to be refreshing

I’m about to upload a YT short to update the status of this beach. Unfortunately, the sargasso is rolling in with a vengeance 😟. Thanks for watching Adam! The cenotes are a beautiful alternative to the beach when the sargasso gets bad. Might do Cenote Cristalino next.

Last time I travelled to Mexico, in July 2019, there was so much seaweed at Playa Del Carmen and Tulum...piles of about 4-5 feet high, the water was brown and the smell was terrible. It was so troubling to see, since the beach just below the cliffs next to Tulum's ruins were the best I had ever seen. If this summer gets overwhelming, you may want to jump on a ferry and go to Cozumel, I think the beaches facing the Caribbean are still clean? Anyway let's hope a solution will be found to solve this issue, since climate changes are there to stay.

Thanks for that insight!! Yea, if it gets to that point I’ll definitely travel to some of the islands or even just focus more on enjoying the cenotes. The smell can be too much for sure and I hate how the seaweed tickles my ankles while I swim 🥲. Thanks for checking out the video!

Thanks for the update. I thought I had read that this year the government was going to install eco-friendly sargassum barriers in the middle of the ocean, which I think they've tested one around Cancun but not sure if it's worked well up there and if it's still the plan for Playa 😢

What’s the name of this beach? How do you go there from 5th Avenue?

If you watch the beginning of the video, it starts on 5th Ave and shows how to get down there… just follow 6th down to the beach and take a right!! It’s basically Playa Centro but the part in front of Soundset beach club. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching 😎 🏝️

The point is that there was no more arriving at the time in the water. The water was clear, if that’s not the case, shoveling it up doesn’t help. Thanks for watching

Well… the camera doesn’t lie 😅… there was no sargassum in the water. Look at the thumbnail photo taken that day, watch the video… do you see any sargassum? Forgive me for trying to show people where they can enjoy a good swim 👏🏼👏🏼😂
