In this video, I talk about the life of one of the greatest chess players of all time and analyze one of his games!
Mikhail Tal was one of the best chess players in the history of the game. He became the world champion at the age of 23 and could not stand a game where he didn't sacrifice any piece!
He played chess even when he was supposed to be in the hospital just a month before his death. "Even though he might not have been the best, he was the favourite!"

Back then FIDE award the GM title without "norms" like today. In the case of Tal, the awarding of the title on the spot, without further tests, was fully justified.

Nice inspirational video, here some more chess facts you may find interesting: In the Candidates in 1959 Tal didn’t play Fischer in the last round, but the second to last one. "1959 was the first time Tal met many great chess players” -not really. Tal had played in ussr chess championship back in 1956, and those were harsh. Many times current or ex world champions didn’t win it and WC contendors were left behind. Also, Tal played in the interzonal tournament, where he faced the future qualifiers. So, if I’m not wrong, Tal played in USSR chess in 1956, 1957, 1958, Interzonal 1958, USSR 1959 and the Candidates in 1959, which makes the Candidates the 6th elite chess tournament he played in.

It is a very brief account of his life and career as a chess player which is ok, if that is what you intended, but I feel it would have been nice to have shown that game against Kasparov, and maybe a special game from his early years as a junior in the beginning of the video.

@@rowanwild8445peak Fischer against peak Magnus would study the current game when there is more knowledge on the game and more stuff analysed. But relatively to the knowledge of the hame Fischer is stronger than Magnus probabiy, Magnus would not win classical games against Fabiano to get a world championship and multiple world championships suvh as the one with Yan and the detail multiple hours game were not convincing on showing winning game similar to Fischer. Overall similar can be said abiut Tal who is viewed in a narrow minded way of relatoce rankings although on good day could beat anyone and probably Magnus. So hypothetical ckmparisons are both possible as is not possible to compare Morphy to recent players
