I am a 26 Y/O man and I have stopped dating for the next 6 months. I want to have a nice career and feel more comfortable with my self. Dating is marginally overrated by social media and people. Update: I upgraded my job $10k+ and now at %75 for my apartment down payment.

Depends on what you want! If you’re at a point in your life when you’re ready to settle down, then there’s nothing wrong with putting more of your energy towards dating, but I think the most important part is focusing on being happy with yourself and in love with the life you’re creating, instead of thinking a relationship/dating is gonna fix everything you’re not happy with. Taking full responsibility over your life and happiness is massive 👌🏼

I'm nearly 40 and I can tell you as a man dating gets better with age. I have access to women that wouldn't give me the time of day when I was in my 20s and in the building stages of my life. You'll be surprised in the amount of women between the ages of 25-30 who are into older guys.

The only self respecting life is an unmarried one brother *MGTOW. Don't take relationships seriously when your in your 20s it is a time where they are 'living their best life' which is why 1/3rd carry an STD when compared to 1/8 men or 1/13th if we exclude gay men. So if you do have something short term wear a hazmat suit if not a johndom 😂

As a guy, let me try to help. Secure commitment up front. Period. No excuses. If you participate in hookups or situationships, especially if you sleep together on the first date or if he hits you with the “hey big head, come over” at odd hours of the night and you still do it, you have to take a step back and re-evaluate your behavior. In my experience, I always say up front that I want things casual and take things slow, but the women pretend to go along with it until they catch feelings and start badgering me about a relationship. A degree of accountability has to take place or you will continue to chase dudes who aren’t interested and thinking you can change his mind all because he’s “so hot, omg” Secure commitment up front. If Brad or Chad or Tyrone doesn’t want the same things as you, don’t sleep with him. Only entertain men who take you seriously. You can’t hookup and then expect a guy to take you seriously. PS: Your advice is pretty solid for the most part. I like seeing women holding other women accountable. It’s severely lacking in current times. Keep up the good work.

I want to add to a point on being a "good girl". As a guy I want someone who has their own life and is able to set boundaries. For example if a guy asks a women to go over at 10 pm I think it is super attractive to be able to explain how that is inconsiderate and creepy. I think it is manipulative to artificially create this. I don't agree with having "goddess" vibes because that brings a level of entitlement. Instead evaluate how you are being treated and know you have intrinsic self worth and be able to know and honor your boundaries. Going out of the way to be convenient is what you do for someone you have a stronger bond with and not someone you are just getting to know. I also would not call anyone a loser. That is really judgmental towards many guys. I would instead replace that word with men who lack self confidence and self love.
@khushijakhar6264
@khushijakhar6264 11 ай бұрын
I totally agree to what you said. Although I think she didn't mean goddess as some sort of entitlement, it was more for females who have had anxious attachment style and a consistent record of so called "unhealthy relationships". It was a sort of analogy for women to have so they can believe they have some intrinsic value as you said.
@hannahstriker
@hannahstriker 3 ай бұрын
Although I do not necessarily disagree with your overall advice, I would like to highlight that there is absolutely nothing "creepy" when it comes to a man inviting a woman to his house late at night for sex(and vice versa of course). So called "creepy" behaviour mostly includes non-consensual interactions that violate the personal boundaries of others, while simultaneously verging on criminality on top of it all. Not every inconsiderate behaviour out there should be classified as "creepy", otherwise we run the risk of pathologising normal and natural sexual impulses(regardless of gender that is).

I was seeing, mostly speaking with this Chad guy, went on 3 dates with him. So he like to speak over the phone but i need presence and beeing wtith the person. So this one day i asked if he wanna grab a coffee or go on a walk after work. He said: naaaaa i'm going home. So i took a step behind and left him on his space. He didn't speak with me anymore and neither did i. I don´t chase a man who doesn't want to be with me. No problem, because now i dont waste anymore of my time with him and that's ok. Sometimes we need to take steps behind and see things clearly.

Lots of great advice for a pretty short video. This was very well organized, to the point but also very descriptive. I can't say if it'll produce an immediate result in me but the Hermes bag analogy really put things into perspective. I've very much struggled with seeing my worth and if I'm honest, I think even men I've dated have wondered why I've gone for them, only to realize I have low self worth and use that against me by treating me any which way.

Dating should be a self made decision, not feeling like the world is expecting you to be in a relationship. I've being single for years now, and I've got to love myself the more and thoughtless about people's opinions, I didn't wanted to be in a relationship because of people being too selective (you'll never be enough for them) and also didn't want to build negativity around dating

I’ve been following your channel for years and it’s one of my favourite safe place on the internet for sure. However I don’t completely agree with your last comment “show don’t tell”, because I truly figured it’s way more complicated to make sure your partner understand yourself when you don’t articulate your thoughts with words. Plus I am convinced we need communication all along a relationship and not only to address an issue, though this comes from my experience in a long term relationship whereas it seemed like you were talking about newish relationships, I don’t really know!

The advices and the way you clarified each statement and gave particular examples were so helpful! I’m just sitting and thinking about everything. I’m in a 2-year relationship (not super perfect recently but we hear each other), so it actually pointed at a few things I haven’t thought about. I don’t let the male chase, am a bit shy to communicate my preferences, let him “go first to shower” & so on (even though I get up 3 hours earlier haha). A LOT to think about. Thank you. 3. Thank you for sharing this! I believe the first half is applicable to men too. I tend to pursue women who are not fully committed, leading to relationships that fizzle out after a couple of months. The less they are committed, the more I fall in love with them. Oddly, I hadn’t considered the root of this behaviour until now (I assumed it was a common problem). But yes, I was bullied in school. Perhaps it’s time for a little introspection… ;)

I would like to comment on guys liking compliments about achievement at 12:35, As a guy I want to say for me, at least, this is dead wrong. It sounds like the commentor is basing self confidence off of societal expectations of success. (Disclaimer I haven't watched the video). From my perspective self confidence from self love is sustainable, while egocentric extrinsic forms of self love is unsustainable because so much is out of your control. What happens when you can no longer achieve the things that you once did or when you fail at achieving? Then your self worth goes with it. This mindset also makes you judgmental to those who have achieved less than you and envious of people who have achieved more. You can absolutely have goals and achieve, but know that even without those you are inherently valuable just by being you, which I believe you said earlier. As a guy I would much rather have a compliment about my character and values. "You are so empathetic and make me feel seen" over "You are really good at changing a tire". I am confused as to are you endorsing this or are you making a generalization about guys? I want to have an in good faith discussion,

Dear Nika! I'm so glad I came across your video! I'm also from Slovenia and it's a very special feeling when you can find one of yours talking about that type of content (I rarely find Slovenian girl talking about femininity)!🥰 I have a question that has been bothering me for a long time and I hope you will be able to help me.😅 What does it mean in Slovenia to start dating? How does this work? Where do you find single men (especially masculine men)? Is there a "special place" where single people gather especially in Ljubljana (that's not a night club or tinder)? I am a student, 22 years old, and I live in Ljubljana during the week. I have never had a man approach me in my life (I tried to approach them first, but it ended in failure). Trying to go in our students campus, students parties. tinder etc. (even if these things are really not my cup of tea) and nothing (I trying to meet new people on event I like like wine/whisky festivals but problem is that men do not even have conversation with me). I learned to live alone, I enjoy being alone, but for a long time I wanted someone with whom I could enjoy together. It's frustrating to hear that just be in your feminine energy and the guys will come on their own (they don't, they never have)... I would greatly appreciate it if you could explain this dating enigma to me.😊

Now I am taking an alone period to solve some issues around confidence and knowing my value. And to be honest the thought of putting myself out there again is scary to me. Could you make a video on where to meet/find guys? I know it is a stupid question, but I really wouldn't like to date people from apps because my past experiences were bad, and men usually like to go straight to bed. A loving relationship is one in which the loved one is free to be himself - to laugh with me, but never at me; to cry with me, but never because of me; to love life, to love himself, to love being loved. Such a relationship is based upon freedom and can never grow in a jealous heart.❤❤

I agree with the guy's comment! Real confidence comes from having taken risks, tested yourself and achieving what it is you wanted to get. We can't be confident if there's no palpable thing to place that on and convincing yourself that you're a big knower of life without having experienced its challenges that build you is a recipe for superficiality. Men, just like women who sense when a guy talks the talk, but doesn't walk the walk, will see that you're putting on a front. Why would a strong man work to get someone who can't be an equal partner?

Nika, this was a great video, thanks for posting it. Although you come from a pretty traditional, cisgender hetero perspective, so much of what you said applies also to us gay boys trying to date men, find life partners or even just hookups. Very consistent message with guy who talk on this topic like Matthew Hussey. In any case, I love your energy! I think it would be so fun to have a coffee with you somewhere, hang out and talk about life. You have a wonderfully positive and pragmatic perspective. And your Hermès analogy was spot on: it applies directly to my dating life, actually - which is pretty hard for me to say, but true, nevertheless. Thanks for helping me see that!

Men are being taught not to chase as well. I’ll have sky high interest for a girl but will resist texting her because it has more often pushed them away than if I allowed for space and for them to handle the day to day communication

This is a great talk! The only critique I have is that much of what yo say is gendered behavior really isn't. Unhealthy behavior has no gender.

A little reminder that hook-up culture isn't made for women! When we make love, our body releases hormones that makes us more attached to the person or in a long period etc... makes us fall for the other. So yes some of us feel special enough they believe they won't be impact by that, but in most case THIS IS NOT THE CASE. So everytime you sleep with a new guy your body get attached to him, your soul takes from him, and adding more guy to water down feelings only add new feelings to deal with. So yes, maybe am I talking to one of those women who don't get attached for sh*t but it often comes from a place of anxiety, high masculine energy Wich isn't really better for most people. I am not saying that if you really enjoy hook-up you should stop simply to take biology into account

Every time you say good girl, I laugh. hahaha. Yes, I think more and more women should allow men to be men and not do the work for them. Plus how would you know if he likes you if you go after them 24/7. Radiate in your feminine energy.

I think a massive problem with what you're saying is meeting up with someone being about the sushi when its really meeting up with the person you like. I want a commitment/significant relationship with a woman, but i would never give a difficult woman a serious chance. What if i take you to a sushi spot and you ended up liking it? I would disqualify you immediately for being close minded.
