Yeah .. not sure what you were thinking? I always thought that interior was pretty dang fugly. Really glad i ended up with the 2013 Jk interior.(with no navigation). It's such a clean looking and well balanced design. Honestly.. I even think it looks better than the new JL. To me the JL just got a little to busy/modern looking. For a Jeep.

It looks identical inside to my 2009 and agree, going from Jetta GLI to this was a feeling of I just went back in time, what did I do?? However, your videos have been reassuring and educational. And 4 wheel drive in the Midwest is so much better! Thanks again

This is the exact vehicle I’m looking at . I’ve found two at a nearby dealership, one has 30k miles and is an automatic transmission, and one has 70k miles and is a manual. Same dark red color which I love. I currently drive a low mileage mint condition ‘01 manual with soft top and vinyl zip windows. No bells or whistles other than cloth seats and AC which I rarely use because the top is either off or down all summer. I’m getting rid of it, just want a vehicle that I can get more than two people. Oh the agony...the 3.8L engine is not Jeep driver’s favorite, but I won’t be putting many miles on it and my hard core off road days are long gone. Have you driven any with the 3.6L engine? If so, any regrets that you got the older model? Anyone else have thought on the two engines?
@OmegaGreedAK474 жыл бұрын
Casey Simon the 3.6 engine is much better than the older 3.8 engine. Much better power delivery and better fuel economy. If you can get a newer one with the better engine I say buy it! You’ll love it!
@sector7833 жыл бұрын
Just bought a 2016 JK with the 3.6. Not to be negative, but this engine sucks. It’s OK if you’re running stock tires and suspension, but once you upgrade from that the 3.6 starts to feel very sluggish even with re-gearing.. they are also not very reliable engines at all. In the month I have had my jeep My check engine light has come on twice indicating two cylinder misfires. The maintenance is going to cost upwards I have about 4500 bucks. Keep in mind, these are not the most reliable engines out there. You will be putting money into your jeep 👊

Ay, man. I am looking into purchasing a 2007 Unlimited Sahara out of Chicago. I have heard a lot of conflicting things about the quality of motor, transmission, etc... Any issues with the engine, or tranny? Also, how many miles you working with? Nice video by the way!
@OmegaGreedAK476 жыл бұрын
ConnerSpeed6 hey, I bought mine with 80k miles. And I'm at 110,000 now. I haven't had any problems with my 2010. The engine does burn oil but these older 3.8L are known to do that. Transmission seems to be in "fair" condition. Ever once in a while I can hear a clicking sound when shifting from park to drive. Hope that helps.
@ConnerSpeed66 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the response, man! Everyone just seems to have their own opinions, and it is hard to really know what is real, and just people complaining, for the sake of complaining!

I have a 2010 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara. Bought it brand new. Transmission vomited all the transmission fluid out in the middle of nowhere (at about 45K miles). I was miles from the nearest Jeep dealership so I had to take it the nearest mechanic shop. Jeep refused to honor the powertrain warranty because I did not take it to a jeep dealership. Rear differential "pops" sometimes when accelerating from a dead stop. apparently it is not uncommon for this to happen. Dealership service advisor said it was (possibly) the spider gear. Turns out they were not the best rear differentials at the time. they're weak. They offered to replace the rear axle for a healthy fee (of course). It seems the older the vehicle gets, the more I seem to find myself chasing vacuum leaks. And last, but not least, the hardtop leaks... smh

I wanted to get in start it up and know Its not going to have any of the current vehicle problems like stretching timing chains (Looking at you GM and your 3.6L..) or have my AFM lifters collapse (again GM) or Cam actuator solenoids tearing up (Ford) I could go on but I'm just wondering who the fuck gets a dam Jeep for modern conveniences ???
