I know this is a weird request but could you try this build I've been testing. It's tank Garen but with phase rush runes, Stridebreaker, heart steel, warmongs, dead mans, swifties and whatever sixth item to help in the match haven't figured out what's best yet

Honestly true but I've gotten to 8.5k health and won a few games with it surprisingly enough

why not swapping collector for something else?

It gives you everything you need except attack speed. AD, crit, gold income, lethality, and the execute synergizes really well with Garen's ult. It's not the objective best item for Garen but it's probably the highest damage 1st item for a single combo.
