Accurail is based in Elburn in case you didn't know. Also in West Chicago this is where the Big Boy was at back in 2019 on the right of the station at 20:00. Before approaching West Chicago it goes from 2 tracks to 3 tracks all the way into the city. At about the 40:30 ish mark off to the right behind the apartment complex is the famous Lombard Hobbies which you may have heard from various model railroad YTers. At the 48:50 ish mark to the left of the Elmhurst station is the Elmhurst Model Railroad Club. At the 50:08 mark the two tracks that branch to the left before the lead into Proviso is the UP freight line that will eventually lead up into Wisconsin. This is also the same tracks where the Big Boy came back in 2019. This is as far East the big boy came.108:30 UP/Metra M-19A Diesel Shop. 111:30 the 2/3 tracks on the left lead into the California Avenue Coach Yard and facilities. Could also be a North Central Service train as well. at the 119:00 ish mark on the right with the covered hoppers is Bloomers Chocolate factory served by UP on both the upper and lower levels of this factory.

Bridge east of River forest Depot is the CN line that the Soo Line passenger trains used when the went to Central Station before the changed to the C & O/ B & O Grand Central Station at Harrison and Wells, I think the CN still uses it

The Transit Bridge was kept because the Signals Are Mounted on it and they figured it was cheaper to use it, rather than tear it down and build new signal bridges

You mentioned a speed restriction after the train departed Lombard when you saw a RED flag. This was not a speed but the beginning of a "Form B" work area. The advance YELLOW/RED flag was at 36:58 and the RED flag showing the start of the work zone was at 40:54 . The extra long station stop at Lombard was the engineer contacting the MW foreman in charge of the "Form B" work zone for permission to pass the RED flag and operate through the work zone. The MW foreman will then grant the train permission to operate through and at what speed. The High rail truck at 42:32 was dropping off ties using a backhoe on top of cars loaded with ties. You can see the ties spread out between N.3 and No.2 track just east of the work crew. I'm a retired train dispatcher.

We aren’t like Japanese railroads with passenger trains everywhere. In Chicago they mix Freedom passenger pretty well but the freight trains we run are huge. I’m glad you chose to watch my channel over there. I would love to go to Japan and do a lot of railfanning

Here’s a fun fact about the Union Pacific West Line. About 75% of the entire line operates on the oldest stretch of track in the entire state of Illinois. It was first built in the 1830s as part of the Galena and Chicago Union Railway which was known for being the first railroad to serve Chicago. The G&CU RWY became the Chicago and Northwestern later on. Heading west, right before the West Chicago rail yard, there’s a track that branches off the main line. That track leads to the Union Pacific Belvidere Sub. That line used to go all the way to Galena, Illinois and formed the G&CU. Now those tracks end in Rockford and that branch line is now primarily used for transporting new cars from the Belvidere Assembly to the Proviso Yard, where they’re connected to other trains heading all over the country

1:15:49 It started from where the Pink Line merges onto the Green Line at Lake Street, and ended where the Blue line comes out of the tunnel just after Division station. You can still see where the blue line tracks used to swing around and allow the 2 center tracks lower into the tunnel. You gotta look closely or else you'll miss it. And on the Pink Line, just before Ashland station, the structure rises up, turns slightly to the right, lowers down again, and then turns right onto the the Lake Street Elevated.
