Happy to provide footage! The Killers were in the order of release, and I imagine the tier list creator ordered them that same way. The 18 minutes of Ghost Face B-Roll is because I tried to include all various states/stances of killers using their power, and ghost face has more variables for this than any other killer, he can be nodding, shaking, crouching, standing, leaning, in night shroud, or not in night shroud.

BHVR should limit either the range or the speed of the Nurse's nod. As it stands, she bottlenecks any possible improvements to the nodding mechanics, which might have benefited many killers with weaker nods.

I knew PH didn't nod much but I didn't know it was literally nothing. Now I know why the Meg I gave hatch to earlier was so scared, she couldn't see me nodding and gesturing towards it. 12:22 So this is my first *hard* disagree with you Scott. Blight shouldn't be this high in C-Tier and is arguably worse than the base line Killers because of how little motion is involved in his nod overall. I'd argue that Blight should be D because it's barely even a nod and drop Executioner down to F for a _total lack_ of any nod. I had a bit of a problem with some of your other choices but nothing as strong as my disagreement on where Blight was placed. I'd swap Ghostface and Pig as well as swapping Doctor and Oni in the Bs. Really I'd want to put Pig higher up but she just doesn't quite cut it well enough to beat out Shape. For the Cs I'd swap Wraith and Nightmare. To me Wraith's nod is better than low C while Nightmare and Legion really don't have have much going for them. They are not D material for sure but really low C not mid C. Really it's a hard choice for me on if Wraith is slightly better than Trapper or not, it's a hard call because like you said all of the originals are pretty much the same but there's just something about a Wraith nodding while ringing their bell that tips it for me. Not enough to be above Hillbilly of course but _slightly_ better than Trapper. Now if Trapper could nod while setting a trap... . S-Tier wise I'd actually put Demo above Nurse, sure she gives it her all but it doesn't quite reach the charm Demo-puppy has for me and the fact Demo can still nod with their mouth open really tips it over. On with the video. I'd put Twins a bit higher: Leatherface > Huntress > Shape > Pig > Ghostface > Oni > Twins > Doctor, if only because Charlotte has a bit more motion than Doctor does. Agree with Trickster, just before Oni in my list so basically where you put him but the rest of my order is a little different. Also agree on Nemesis, but again my order differs from yours: Hillbilly > Wraith > Trapper > Clown > Legion > Nemesis > Legion > Freddy Cenobite is also an agree, including placement. The Artist has a bit of an exaggerated head movement that is fitting for her bird theme so she gets some more points for me for staying on theme. So agree on low B, between Trickster and Oni for me. Bit of a disagree on Onryo, I'd put her middle C not high C. Better than Clown but not as good as the originals. Eigh, I'll give you that Dredge is hard to place but for me there just isn't enough body movement for it to reach S-Tier and really I'd put it under Spirit. Top end of A for sure for not pushing it for me. Mastermind is more of a hard choice for me, I'd actually put him at the very top of B, above Leatherface. Maybe a bit controversial but I don't fall prey to the Bubba charm like some people do. Yeah there's just something about him that makes him loveable but I'm not going to let that blind me to the better nodder. So my listings would be: S-Tier: Demo > Nurse > Hag A-Tier: Spirit > Dredge > Deathslinger > Plague B-Tier: Mastermind > Leatherface > Huntress > Shape > Pig > Ghostface > Cenobite > Trickster > Artist > Oni > Twins > Doctor C-Tier: Hillbilly > Wraith > Trapper > Onryo > Clown > Nemesis > Legion > Freddy D-Tier: Blight F-Tier: Executioner Thanks for the video Scott! I agree with your opinions overall but I do think that dredge deserves some better placement on the list, the way he bangs his head kinda like hag along with his long neck makes him a good nodder in my opinion, so I'd put him right before nurse

@@reiper Dredge is just hard to place because you have to be close to see it, at least for me. The smoke or shadow or whatever, the particle effects, does a lot to hide the motion from even a moderate distance away and that subtracts from the impact a nod has. Yes it's S-Tier up close when you can see it, easily S-Tier in fact but still bottom of it. That's also the reason I place Dredge below Spirit, because with Spirit you can see the nod from a good distance away while you can't really do that with dredge.

Honestly, I think Bubba deserves S-Tier for being Bubba. There's something about a very large man standing completely still and relaxed with a chainsaw just nodding, especially when he does the mini nod. He's also the most polarizing: it's super triggering if he nods while face-camping, but when he's playing Chest Defense and finally decides to give up the chest? It's even more adorable than normal

Based on my UE4 knowledge, the killers/survivors probably don't actually use an "animation" but instead just rotate the specific bone in the armature, the difference in nods probably comes from the bone order in the model's armature(skeleton), the bone the devs selected, the "weight" of the bone on different parts of the model(weight being how much a part of the model changes when the specific bone is moved) and other properties like the use of the cloth engine for hair(need to confirm if dbd uses that last one)

I will say, whilst Legion's nod is bad if you look at it separate from everything else, when it's within the context of the game the nod works really well, for a critical reason: The chase music. With that music in effect, the nod goes from a basic, generic killer nod to an incredible incentive to headbang with everyone's favourite game extender.

We need an updated version of this - it's missing some crucial head nods When certain killer are walking (like Wesker) their body posture changes, and nodding while walking forwards and backwards have very different qualities on this extra tier list section. Additionally, some killers who charge their power will change their body posture (Dredge) during the charge of the power, and when they lean over their nod gains certain properties that I personally enjoy. (Hell I even charge my power as Dredge if I want to look down at a survivor, because then I'm leaning over as if I'm asking "You okay buddy?" then walk away if they shake no) Then there are killers like Sadako that don't change body posture at all and deserve C tier.
