I just don’t see how people calling this a toy is a bad thing, I mean…if you aren’t having FUN making music, why bother?! I wish MORE instruments were designed less like medical instruments and more like toys. Then maybe it would inspire people who are actually talented to want to play them more…and as a result we would get a wider variety of music. Keep up the great work!

When someone says "i'll prove to you that it's not a toy", in most cases it IS a toy. Here however is another case coz we talking about a sampler, not an instrument. It can sound the way you want. That's the craft of sampling and not a lot of people can handle it.

I agree. I've actually been exploring several different types of musical technology lately and I've found that my favorite things to play with, create music and give myself ideas with are my samplers. I just got the EP-133 and I absolutely love it, my Roland SP-404mkII is my favorite piece of gear that I own, and I'm starting to experiment with other grooveboxes and samplers. They're a ton of fun.

That’s cool as well, a tool that can serve you as an entry point in music is also very valuable. My point of view is that this machine can make both, not just subdued stuff, like a expensive pro guitar would.

Great song. Can you do all this in an OP1 or is there a function that sets KO-II higher?
@respiradnb3 ай бұрын
In many ways it’s different, but they both have the ability to sample, so technically, the barebones of this song could be more or less the same (with a lot of work). Were the EP 133 shines over the OP1 in on the punch in effects, I use those to make transitions between scenes, which is another thing that the OP1 lacks. But the OP1 has that ability to make synth sounds from scratch (kind of). It also has more generators, sequencers, LFO’s and effects, so a bit deeper that the EP. Hope that helps. If you want me to make a vid about it let me know, I was thinking about it for a while.

Thank you Peezy! Most of them are actually free samples from gumroad that I’m trying out lately. I’m sure there are some stock samples that I used in the track though (like the back chords on the second part, or some claps) because they are so good, but I can’t pin point them.

Clickbait is when the video has a title that is just not true. The EP 133 is not a toy, but a tool that you could even make a living out of. Can you do that with a toy? Okay, maybe if you work for Toys R Us you can earn money with toys. I digress, but I genuinely think that this is a seriously understated device. I guess you’d feel better if I put the words IMO on the title. I’m sorry
