I am an artistic person by nature and I love makeup for the artistry of it. As far as vanity goes, I would go anywhere without make up no problem but every morning, no matter what's on the schedule for the day, I do a nice job on my makeup before I leave my bedroom/bathroom area. This is my "me" time everyday. It starts my day off with doing something that feels creative and personal and leaves me feeling put together and ready for the day. I may never look in the mirror for the whole rest of the day but for that time in the morning, I'm loving the process, just for me.

NIKOL, this is the first video of yours for applying makeup I have watched, and I loved it! That Channel palette really looks awesome on you. I also love deep greens. Whether it be matte or shimmery. Your video has given me the confidence to just try new colors on myself. When I was younger, makeup was a breeze to put on, I always loved the shimmering colors the best. Didn't think about anything while applying, just 1,2,3 and out the door looking flawless. I agree that now that I am 62, I have to make sure I'm putting the right things and why and where, right? But I have a few pallets to play with, and I will. It's so fun to just throw caution to the wind, and put on whatever colors you really like, and just put them on. I wore this look (put it on in the car after traveling 10 hours) at Christmas to meet the kids for dinner. I often thought it was too much. But hey it was Christmas and it made me feel so festive. This is an excellent, beautiful video! I’m so happy to hear you spreading this message about working with makeup when we’re struggling with our thoughts. Makeup really does influence how we feel. My mother and grandmother taught me that no matter how rough things are, you have to make an effort to pull yourself together. When I went through my health struggles, I forced myself to do my hair and makeup every day. It absolutely improved my outlook and helped me get through so many really rough days. I know you mentioned that you prefer black mascara … but … I recently purchased your mascara, and it is fantastic! The wand in the formula are just brilliant for my short lashes. What would make it 1 million times better is if I could get the exact same thing in a dark brown color! I hope someday you’ll reconsider an add this to your line. I just bought my 2nd tube of your BB cream in the medium. I really recommend it for women trying to protect and nurture their skin barrier. The ingredients are good. Not too many additives for sensitive post menopausal skin (loss of hormones - somatotropin/HGH, thyroid, estrogen/progesterone/testosterone makes skin thinner, dryer, more fragile and reactive to a lot of actives or high concentrations). Plus I chemically burned my already fragile and reactive skin. Learning the hard way about restoring and repairing my skin barrier. And your BB cream really is a balm, with the shea butter, capric & caprylic triglycerides, and squalane. No petroleum / petrolatum/mineral oil in this. It takes harsh chemicals to convert crude oil into petrolatum and mineral oil. Others can choose to put that on their skin. I won't. I'm glad to find a product with shea butter instead of petroleum. And it looks GUUUD. Not slick and shiny like I'm in the middle of a hot flash, but almost between a dewey and a matte finish. Moisturizer tends to make foundation more shiny, I'm learning. But it works well with this balm. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Every day when I get ready for work, I view it as a new adventure. So, I am always experimenting with looks. I use Chanel products, and the shadow pallettes can vary with regard to pigment. Hi. Love this look. Love the shimmery metallic gray green. May need to buy it. I have the same issue with Chanel eyeshadow palettes and their lack of pigment. I feel that there is a "coating" on them. I take a cotton bud and gently remove the smallest amount of the top layer. Sometimes this helps. Not a fan of doing it because, hello, wasting expensive product. I have two Tom Ford eyeshadow palettes and won't buy anymore because the fallout is ridiculous. Love Dior eyeshadow quints, have 6 of them and they never fail. Also love Natasha Denona, but feel the quality is inconsistent. I love doing my skin care every day and makeup most days. I wash and style my hair every day; I have a pixie haircut so it doesn't take too long. Love love love wearing perfume everyday and a bit of jewelry too. All of it just makes me so happy. That silver turned out differently than I thought it would. I thought it would be like the shimmer in the IT Cosmetic palette. You can add it to the brow or lid to add shimmer to whatever color you put it on top of. It doubles the colors of the palette because you can add it on top of the other colors. It's an optional extra. I could not tell the green sheen that you mentioned; it's good to know it's there, though.
