Been with you since Step 1 and still impressed. There are now hundreds of sailing channels, but Uma was outstanding from the outset.

they are good, intelligent and nice. Unlike the other sailing and travel channels, they don't act like fools in swimsuits with their butts in the wind. They are hard workers and always tell useful and interesting things. This new chapter of their adventure is the natural continuation of their spirit.

Uma is more than a sailing channel. Who refurbs a boat, sails it and rebuilds it from scratch? Only Uma!
@MarcoYolo4206 ай бұрын
@@zizlog_soundIt was a smart move business wise too... KZbin and Patreon are their main source of income. Who will watch if they just flipped UMA to a new one (which they probably can afford easily.). More power to them, I'm all for sustainability, and making your living out of it is an art ❣️

That's the slowest game of Tetris I've ever seen :) Just a thought... While you're building, maybe build in some screw threads into the ceiling or other spots and make a camera mount you can mount cameras in places like right in the middle of a room or somewhere that might be really irritating to set up a tripod. There might be some good camera angles in odd places that you wouldn't normally shoot from. To make the mount, all you would need is an aluminum square bent out of flat bar, big enough to surround your camera. Drill one or more holes in each side.Two bolts with wingnut heads. one to mount the camera, and one to mount the mount. there is probably a product out there already that would mean all you'd need is the threads to mount in various places. If it doesnt exist, it probably will soon. Like I said, just a thought.

This is great. You guys make progress every week!! 400 Episodes is a lot, I think I started when you guys were in Iceland, pulling out some champagne to celebrate your success that I had no idea about. Then you did norway, and I was hooked. It would be fun to see you guys do greece with all the islands, and I have a curiosity about Chile because it has so many Islands and nobody ever goes there... Greece will be fun and its super cheap compared to most of europe and definitely USA. The goal is to get back out there! instead of sleeping in a van in europe. I bet you guys sleep better with a full night.

Great vids, I watch you every week. Bits of free advice - take that for what it is worth. You seem to be tabbing in the bulkheads in 2 stages. One to do the bog to lay in the cove. And then secondly adding the glass. You can do this in one step. Just put the wet glass straight over the bog before it goes off. Saves time and sanding. A variation of this is when glassing onto a rough surface, through down some sloppy bog and then glass straight on top. The sloppy bog will fill the crevices. Next, when tabbing with cloth or roving cut the cloth at a 45deg angle to the weave - use a straight edge and marker to mark it out. This has 2 benefits. Firstly, you will have both strands going at 45deg angle to hull/bulkhead join. This means both strands are working and the will be a lot stronger. Secondly, the strands will lay through the curve(concave or convex) without standing up and creating air bubbles. The cloth will be a bit harder to handle(it will want to "come undone") but is well worth the effort. You are doing a great job and you both are a joy to watch('cause I don't have to do the sanding!).

Loving how Uma is becoming a boat again and so excited to see the rest of the build.
