I LOVE this system. It makes such an amount of sense and it's a beautiful balance between keeping things interesting while also being structured and having a routine. So simple but so beautiful. I'm absolutely stealing this 😍

I definitely resonate with the hungry brain first thing, and it’s probably why I tend to reach for my phone. And having a go-to structure for a ritual is so helpful. Without it, I tend to overwhelm myself and procrastinate and then as a result, feel frustrated that I’m missing out on having a meaningful regular practice. Excited to try this. Thanks Rachael.

What a great idea! So low pressure and flexible, I could actually see me being able to get some consistency of practice with something like this. I totally empathise with what you said about your struggles with that. Thanks so much for sharing! I also really like the idea of invoking a particular domain to psyche yourself up for an activity. I'd be super interested to hear more about how you go about that, if you ever feel like doing a vid on that in future 💜

I loved this one!! I have seen a lot of your videos by now but this is the one that is getting me on board with your constellation system of organizing life. Putting some enchantment into organization is exactly what makes my brain feel alive and excited to do even the most mundane of tasks. Thank you!

Another activity for this could be making a playlist. I have loads of songs that fit specific moods but almost none of them are in playlists that I can actually dial into. I wonder if sitting down and finally making a few is a nice way to spend the 25 minutes.

I really appreciated this video! 💖 I likely have ADHD and I deal with disabling chronic illness. I typically don't often have the energy for "typical" ritual or altar work. I don't know why I never thought of making a travel altar I can use on a lapdesk while I'm in bed! I adore this idea! And having cards with your info for ritual format and things to do! 💖💖💖 Between ADHD and brain fog, I tend to forget stuff so often! Such amazing and helpful ideas in this video! 💖 I'm going to think on this and look at creating my own travel altar for me to use in bed, where I'm the most comfortable and feel most able to do a ritual.

The way you conceptualize things is so helpful. I struggle with that need for mental stimulation and intolerance for “routine”, though I don’t have ADHD. The only ritual I do is a “bathing” ritual after menses, but even that it very grounding. Somehow thinking of it as ritual rather than routine shifts my mind into a more grateful and open space. Thank you for the ideas and for sharing your spiritual practice! ✨

Oh, Rachael I love this! I found your altar tour super inspiring and this as well… I don’t have anything like this in my practice (but I feel the “it gives me a time for witchy chores”- I always end up saving spells that I know I need to refresh, charging spells, etc for the full/new moons.) I think I’ll make myself a ritual not too different from this… thank you for the upload!!

Lovely. When I'm stirring a drink, I start with random spoon movements so the liquid is moving chaotically. Associating this with my current internal chaos, I gradually changed to a normal stir and feel it bringing me into organised movement. Love and light.

This is a great idea. I rebooted my card-a-day practice a couple of months ago and I really enjoy it. But I haven't sanctified it, so to speak. Doing it at my altar first thing makes a lot of sense. Nice to see some witchy content again. Thanks Rachael.

There were a lot of really helpful bits in here that I think could help me out in different areas. The ritual itself, the flexible nature of it, seems like something I could work in on most days. I'd like to try something like that out. The little cards indicating what to do and then the activities available especially seems helpful with my brain that will just forget things. I like the idea of how you have some of the set up for the tarot / Lenormand journals. Having the meaning of cards entered into Notion so that it will just pull up when you tell it would really help with my dyslexia. I could enter all the data on some good days and then on a bad day I can utilize my screen reader and not burn too much energy trying to transcribe things. Thank you so much. 🥰 🎶

Hi Rachael! I really enjoyed your moment dedicated to explaining why and how this ritual works for you and your brain. I always rewatch your bullet journal videos and have found it awesome that Muay Thai is your sort of medication to support your brain. I’m still very excited for your Constellation Deck. Now I am going to put the Lenormand deck on my wishlist along with your Notion template. Thanks for always giving me new interests to hyperfixate on. 😂 I hope you are settling in nicely and doing well!!

This is so so useful and helpful, it inspired me so much ! I was wondering if you or anyone scrolling through the comments had any ideas for how I might time a ritual in a soft way (no alarms etc), without using incense ? I am unable to use incense as I have a pet bird, and it can be a bit much also for the people I live with also to have strong smells :)

I haven’t found anything I like QUITE as much but I’ve been thinking about it, and some of us were actually discussing this in my discord! sand timers and hourglasses are good if you can find one for the right time period. I also like apps like Noisli and Brain.fm which just go silent when the time is up.

Also, you could use a birthday candle or chime/mini/spell candle to time your ritual. Test how long they burn for and then you know to end when the candle burns part way or all the way down.

They’re called Morning Star incense by a company called Nippon. I’ve found them in local witch shops, but to find specific scents I order them from this UK shop which I found through Etsy. lotuszenincense.co.uk/collections/morning-star-nippon-kodo I’d try searching on Etsy to see if there’s a supplier in your country/area!

How often do you cast a circle? I used to cast a circle every time I did a spell. But I have quite a few protections for my home and my body. So I don't really see the beef for a circle. I still cleanse of course so that I can just be focusing on the intention of the spell.
@frithbarbat

FWIW I'm the same. Protection about, rarely use a circle.

pretty much every time I sit down to this ritual I cast a circle but my version of casting a circle is just what I describe here to open sacred space and trace a circle with some incense. I don’t call the quarters or anything. And it’s not even really about protection for me, I do it because it makes me feel cosy and snug.
