You should try D ring start. Iv been trying it out and I actually like it a lot. You miss out on the sustain a bit so D blade is probably better for harder matchups, but D ring helps alot with early mana issues, allows you to take sorc tree secondary, or futures market for early essence, plus it makes your W harass stronger as its more spamable and does more damage. Smolder has AP scalings on all his spells except E so you arent really losing a significant amount of damage in lane especially since you are primarily just looking to stack.

I like that setup a lot actually, the Fleet+RFC+Sheen on Auto+Q looks like a really strong trading pattern in the later stages of the game. I'm also really curious if there was a change in the new season that lets you get that Auto+Q combo off - my first instinct would have been that the auto would consume the energize and the Q wouldn't be able to be cast, but now it definitely only consumes the energize when the auto attack lands. Obviously hard to compare like-for-like with this champ but that's just my intuition.

Would be also nice to know what kind of supports are nice with him, who to ban, which ADCs and supps are dangerous for him and when to pick him/if he is blind pickable. For smolder it would also be nice to know how many stacks are okay or good at 15 minutes or so as a rule of thumb, kinda how kayne players say you should get transformation at X minute

Not too sure about matchups yet, think champs that outrange him are good Vs him and supports that pair well with him are either roamers like bard pyke that can abuse his wave clear or enchanter supports to make him into a hyper carry, for stacks I think 10 a minute is good to aim for 225 stacks around 23-25 minutes is good

would be nice to see how you play him vs lane bullies tho he feels really weak vs like lucian milio and it's hard to come back unless they just let u freescale to 225 stacks

ldr third would be so much better because all his spells are physical. rfc makes u lose so much dmg (but necessary against long ranged enemies like senna n such), i usually rfc on 5th or 6th items. so full item should be ER, navori, ldr, bt/sb, 5th n 6th are situational (qss/rfc/exec etc)

I think it's not helped by Jack's chain oopsies into Neeko really, that was his strongest part of the game and he spent most of it dead haha
