I explore the recently renamed capital city of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan (Astana). A city of impressive architecture, there are plenty of cool buildings to see. After spending some time walking around, I begin to wonder if I'm the only tourist.

As a cultural and lingual enthusiast, Kazakhstan has recently been put in my bucket list to travel to someday. The sheer geographical enormity of this beautiful Central Asian titan holds so many surprises: Majestic mountains, pristine forests, vast steppes, and a fascinating and diverse patchwork of different ethnic groups, especially the amazing Turkic people that is the namesake of this country: The Kazakhs. I hope to one day travel to Kazakhstan and meet its people. This is truly one of the world's most beautiful and fascinating places to travel to, and I hope others can have the chance to experience and cherish Kazkahstan to the fullest. Greetings and much love to the people of Kazakhstan from the United States! 🇰🇿🇺🇸

As a resident of this city, the city of Astana was renamed to Nur-Sultan against the will of the people of Kazakhstan, and this is very sad. I can say with confidence that 99.9% were against renaming the capital. Since the word Astana, from Kazakh translates as Capital. Upd: We returned our former name of the capital. Now we livе in Astana again. :)

Loving your Kazakh videos. I was there in June/July this year and had a great time in Almaty and Astana. I travelled to Astana for a concert with Dimash Kudaibergen, who is a brilliant young singer, much loved in Kazakhstan. It was amazing. Thousands of fans from around the world came, so it was a bit more touristy than your experience! 😂 I loved the whole experience, people, landscape and architecture too 👍

Hello brothers🇹🇷🇰🇿, im from Turkey I've been living in Kazakhstan for 3 years and it is definitely a beautiful country. However i did have some problems. I am fluent at Kazakh language since my mom was Kazakh. Unfortunately people here speak more Russian than Kazakh, this was weird at first but i got used to it. But the real issue is that some Kazakh people themselves dont know how to speak Kazakh while people from other nations are fluent at it. Just wanted to address this for people visiting Kazakhstan that you should probably get a Russian dictionary. And i know it is not your fault because it was under soviet influence for so many years. Apart from this the country is magnificent

Komal Khan the matter is that those areas were built like in last 3-5 years. They are very big, but not enough living apartments nearby to make it lively. There are busier corners of Astana, the busiest one is the old centre recently called Arbat. There are your numerous typical street foods, street performers, river activities and the best basketball courts of the city.

I have been there about a month ago, it was full of tourist or with Dears, lol, 30000 people turned up Dimash Kudaibergen concert in Astana Arena. Lovely experience, will go back in the future to see more place in Kazakhstan!

BRAZIL - I only saw through pictures or videos, some cities in Kazakhstan and I loved it. Wow, what a magnificent mosque, in fact the city is magnificent. Thanks for the video, I loved the museum too. Country with a history, culture, wonderful and very old, secular music. The Kazakh people fought hard for freedom. I admire a warrior people.

Thanks! Interesting facts about the city. I didn't know, and I've moved here since winter started last year. This winter was actually around -30 degrees, and as a European, it was a bit harsh. But I must say, I'm starting to get used to it, and by now, I love the snow and the cold. Keep up the good work!

First of all, thank you for showing our capital to the world. There were no people on streets because probably all of them had been working. Some people used to say that Almaty is for joy and chilling while Astana is for working. Sad but true. Try to travel the right bank of the city (the oldest parts) it's a lot cozier. Text me if need some help. And, please, never call in Nur-Sultan:)
