Whenever they smelled or tasted those snacks and referred them as animal feeds. Did they ever eat those animal feeds before?

I thought the same thing! A lot of Americans are really scared of anything that is fishy or resembles a seafood smell or taste. When I moved to Taiwan my palate changed drastically as I stopped eating so much junk and processed foods. Next time I want them to try more hearty Taiwanese dishes such as beef noodles and/or hot pot. Any snack suggestions that I missed?
