When I was small, I used pieces from 3 Lego sets to make a tower almost reaching the ceiling. If I only had more Lego pieces, I would have kept going.

I never tried to break a record, but I was present in the audience back around 1968 when a couple of guys broke the record for longest see-saw ride. Wild times back then.

Historical records tied to specific events, such as "the longest-reigning monarch in British history" (Queen Elizabeth II, 70 years and 214 days), could only be surpassed in the distant future, and even then, they would depend on unique circumstances.

That jump without running was INSANE. I've never seen a human being jump that high before from a standing start

Uno my dad told me a story from when I was young And I believe it He said an old man where he worked Just a steal fencing joint ARC And he said this old man said he saw a man jump 30 feet into the air from a stand point I was into ninja like every team age boy But I really studied it Uno ninja was just a family name that found ways and techniques to escape samurai Some techniques to lifetimes to perfect Like holding poisons and regurgitating them when needed.. holding you breath lowering your heart rate..alchemy wizards finger weaving opening 3rd eye Jumping impossible feats to escape capture castle walls Without making my own vid Just jumping If you were a family last name ninja and you started teaching your children from birth techniques you thought over time em were possible no doubt already handed down father to son father to son and in most cases daughters too The putting weights on a child’s ankles and made jump jump jump As he grew weight added and made jump jump jump One adolescent age you take those weights off Image the result Some techniques can take a lifetime to perfect I’ve seen a woman upside down shooting arrows with her feet Practice makes perfect Sometimes it takes a lot of years as some things seem that impossible

He didn't jump 5 1/2 feet, tho. He jumped, then pulled his legs up at least 2 feet. The criteria for this should be remaining straight legged after leaving the ground. What a bullshit record

@@dickpawlak354 Maybe you should create your own world record. How to jump without bending your legs. LOL

C B Fry, Stephen Fry's relative, 2 or 3 times removed, had a party trick where he jumped backwards onto a mantelpiece, a height of about 1.25 metres.

@@mtmaniacs Just saying. If you measure how far any part of his body above his hip joints moves I bet it isn't 5 1/2 feet

There are plenty of records which will never be broken, mostly because the places or ways that they were set, will never be exactly the same again. Easy examples, are speed record laps at racing circuits which have been altered over time, so that no further records can be set in the exact same way; they would all have to have asterisks denoting what was different.

5:19 Although it is a great feat to leap this high he actually only jumped a little more than half his height if you take into account how high he lifted his center of mass. Notice how much greater a distance his feet traveled (5:42 -- as he pulled them up) compared to his chest when first he was on the platform.
