Im a few away, not personally going out of my way to get it, if i get it then cool, if not, no real loss but i like the game mode a bit more the original onslaught (i find it a little easier) a semi good team can complete it in under an hour. i'm just a little peeved that i can almost go through 2 full 50 waves runs on one tonic and get maybe 2 of those focused weapons to drop. man do i miss crafting lol

I don't have much triumph score but i can understand. Player time is not valued and i think that effects more than triumph players but there is overlap. There will always be people that cannot see that and just grind it out as well as people that aren't even going to do it and still run their mouths about solutions to getting it done. Slayer baron is a neat title but even if i don't get that its healthier for me to not stress about it

Love how they added all those subclass triumphs to old raids and dungeons that no one is even running on lfg anymore too. I’m pretty far off 100% triumph score (I suck at PVP) but I usually try to get everything within my capabilities. Definitely feel the fact that their attempts to force people to do stupid grinds just kills any motivation in their most dedicated players. And it’s so inconsistent from act to act.

You can join matches in progress and get these both done. It will take far less time spending 5-10 mins looking for a match already in progress. If you see the lobby tick up from 1/3 to 2/3, just backout. If you join in progress at like wave 1, just back out. I got them done looking for matches in progress and staying if it's above wave 25 (halfway point). Sometimes I get lucky and get a 40+ wave and it's just 10 minutes from there.

@@Daestrix off the top of my head, the ruffians during Plunder definitely were the 2nd most annoying and, like you said, this Act's onslaught ones are just pain. Hate it when they make them sooo grindy. There were a couple during Season of the Nightmare that were like that too, where you had to get a ton of the tier 3 public event completions on the Leviathan. I'm also not a fan of Bungie retroactively adding triumphs to legacy activities, such as all same element type, clanmates, etc., to older dungeons and raids.

the season we had fishing, i thought about picking up some of the triumphs... But you just had to catch so many fish. So many of each kind too i think. And it took so long for the pond to actually ramp up to fish in a frenzy. Honestly man, ive always felt like these seasonal triumphs were not made as a quick checklist but as something for the people who play nothing but this game to chase and grind because they have gotten all the loot they need and completed everything else. That tiumph score is the only number that keeps going up.

Yes, I was hoping to get this seal since I returned to Destiny after many years, and really wanted to get the Seasonal Seal. I grinded the Onslaught Salvation many times, but then I realized how slow the progress is and how many Revenant Barons required. So I gave up. It does not worth it.

I completed the all 50 runs averaged around 56 minutes a run and boi was this miserable. I did the ruffians back in the day that was rough but onslaught takes so much longer and there is the possibility of wasting that time if the team fails. Anyways, I agree that the triumph with the 250 revenants being a bit much for the seal. I think 100 is fair since you can get 12 a run not including the slightest possibility of a heat wave. These triumphs have really made me want to quit the game entirely.

I empathize with you. The activity challenges get boring quick. The activities don't feel rewarding, to include the the seasonal weapon drops, seasonal armor drop stats, seasonal engram collecting, and the tonic system is flawed. I wish we had red borders and armor focusing like every other time. That model was at the least rewarding. I'm praying for ACT III, and the next episode (specially because I'm a fan of the enemy factions).

The main issue is Bungie doesn’t care about triumphs. They introduced it by a former developper to create try hard content but with no really purpose and more worse with no rewards. Because most of people don’t care about emblème, skins, sparrows etc. But if you put real rewards like god roll weapons or bright dust, that features would be one the greatest. For information I’m also a max triumph hunter

I did barren ground the fastest way possible, leaving as soon as you kill the 2 barons. It took 9-10 hours. Thankfully, I had an audio book, but still, it's terrible.

You don’t have to get a full 50 wave completion… just load in and out until you get an instance where the team are on wave 35 or higher. I’ve done this and I’d say the fishing rng triumphs were waaaaay worse…

In truth i cant be bothered to run onslaught that much. I enjoy tomb of elders so I'd rather run that. I guess I do need to play more onslaught for certain weapons but I'm not crying if i dont get a god roll or 2 from this episode. Most days I don't have the desire to play onslaught after work, or I'd rather use the time to run a few GMs, or find a group to raid or run a dungeon or even play something else with my friends who don't play Destiny much anymore.

Bungie seems to routinely over tune things and not realize that many people dont actually want to play hundreds of the same mission and put in crazy hours (that some people genuinely don't have) its ridiculous. I remember season of the mighty or whatever when we re armed Rasputin to shoot down the cabal station and near the end of the season after doing public events exhausively they gave a community quest and was like "GO DO 15 MILLION PUBLIC EVENTS AND PRETEND YOU ARENT SICK OF IT" and everyone was like, na, f that so they dropped it to 3. We really didnt care that felwinters shotgun was making a comeback it was just absurd

Believe for the seal you can skip 1 triumph and still get the seasonal seal. It requieres 15 triumphs to be completed and they’re 16 in it. Skipping the barons for sure, not sure what they’re thinking

I know I have the seal ones but not sure on the others however, I'm a matchmaking only solo player so triumph score never enters my mind. What baffles me is you saying you have all the seasonal weapons you want. How? I just got my first attrition orbs/ jolting feedback SMG yesterday with all those runs because tonics are so glitchy lately, and I still have literally only one gridskipper with destabilizing rounds(but doesn't have repulsor). I'm more baffled in how you somehow getting your loot for the loot chase despite not playing enough to have these triumphs?

I mainly wanted the new bitter sweet gl which I grinded for before the Day 1 Vesper. Everything else I have acceptable roles of, but the game has got to a point where my vault is so stacked with past weapons, none of these weapons provide a significant enough advantage over what I already own. Shotgun, I have prophet of doom, SMG, well smgs aren’t meta, but I have Ikelos, I got what I wanted, not looking for anything else

This game was part of my life for so long, i had max grimoire in D1, i just like completion stuff. once u miss out on one triumph the motivation is gone in brain and it may hunt u 4 ever and u regret not doing it even if u hate it in the moment. u have some legacy there which only u can value. i noted some years ago that im just a tool for them not a cuastomer any more. i paid so many seasons just to get stuf i had already from before, i got less and less the new experience with shiny new toy thing, they made a crazy shft to only care about casual and so because they re the most. and fuck vets just copy and paste for them.

Couldn’t agree more. I played wow for 15+ years which is a blizzard game. Their customer service is 2nd to none. When I first started playing they had game masters and a phone line for in game issues which then transitioned over the years to an ingame ticket service. The longest I waited after submitting a ticket was about an hour to have something fixed. This was back when they had hackers as well and even now with keyloggers that would sign into your account and clean house for gold to sell to other players leaving your in game account completely cleaned out and naked. Blizzard would have everything restored within 24 hours after contacting customer support. Any glitch or broken quest would not last more than a few hours. They would shut servers down and extend maintenance if a major problem ever occurred and would not activate the servers until everything was playable as intended. Now bungie on the other hand has got to be the worst gaming company I’ve ever felt with. No way to report or get issues affecting your account aside from posting it on a forum and getting a generic response that means nothing…. I’ve only been playing for about 4 months or so and the fact that the tincture mission was broken for some people for over 2 months since act 1 is a joke. A mission that is core to the expansion is broken and it’s not fixed immediately? Like wtf? Then you’ve got the weapons drop scandal and them saying it wasn’t true and yet only when the community proved it was true with receipts they apologized and still havnt fixed that. Love how when they are losing money from people claiming a free ingame ticket that isn’t supposed to be free, they got time to patch that 💩 up real quick, but not a main expansion mission.. and now the winter mission is glitching and resetting for people as well as locking them out on some characters… anyways like I said I’ve only been playing about 4 months but I’m so over this game already… it’s gonna die if they don’t get their 💩 together.

Honestly, I'm watching this video and taking it as a wake-up call. Bungie really hasn't been making this game fun to play in a while ever since they started working on Marathon. And when people like you start throwing up their hands and giving up on the meticulous grind of this game, it's a bittersweet sign of "l should rethink how I feel about this game as a whole". Then I asked myself, who's going to care if I do or don't get the title? And then I thought, who's going to ask or care maybe, I dunno, 10, 20, 30 years from now (if the game's servers are still even running) if I got "x" "y" or "z" triumph? Then I thought about Halo 3. Remember how so many people got the achievements to unlock a katana on their backs?(that you wouldn't even use it was just decoration), and then years later, they turn off the servers? So you can't even enjoy seeing that hard earned achievement anymore. It's just nothing but a memory for those who know now. So, really, what does it matter? It's all just going to be a memory at some point in time with nothing physical left over to show for it.

My guess is that this is another casualty of not having several eyes on all parts of the game. Someone set up the triumphs. Something changed. No one went back to validate. Players get screwed. I hope they nerf these further for completionists like you. They are getting a ton of play time from you already.

Yep, that’s my hope, they’ve done it in the past, I wouldn’t be surprised and I don’t want to go after specific devs. But sounds like they did recognize it was bad then barely nerfed it and left the other two triumphs alone, so nothing changed 😂

Yeh no doubt these triumphs are stupid how it get put into the game is ridiculous. People would prefer to grind for weapons etc not dumb triumphs I stopped going for max when they wanted 500 iron burden kills. I still do most the fishing one was so stupid I missed out on that by 5 fish and I spent hours grinding no macro, ps5 player. Bungie don’t care about there players as much as they make it out they do only when there own jobs are on the like do they give us good content. I’ve already started to play the game less back to fifa for me

You're being used as an unpaid Bungie employee. Bungie wants casuals to be able to queue up a matchmaking game and load it up in less than a minute. They can't do that unless their hardcore players are constantly grinding the game for rewards. They're using you.

The triumphs aint that bad got them done real quick playing casually, not to be toxic but it sounds like a skill issue. edit: if your taking over 1 hour to do this then your doing something wrong almost all my runs were sub 50 mins
