I love your description and delivery. I've been thinking about these for my studio I need to rebuild.

Glad to see you got these in for review. I had a chance to hear them at the Parts-Express design competition. Very impressive for under $1,000.

Essentially these are bookshelf subwoofers with a dome tweeter which explains the power requirements. They should have also incorporated a 3 inch midrange to balance the sound.

I bought these for shits and giggles on Amazon as they had 10% off and I had some Amazon points. These sure are some impressive speakers for their size. They do suck up the juice though. Good thing I have plenty. They are keepers for sure. Now it will be hard to brag about the name but who cares they sound great and they are fun little speakers.

I don't watch other reviewers, so this is news to me. Thanks for letting me know. It's surprising to hear this because these are great speakers. Perhaps the ones who reviewed them didn't have the right recipe or were powering them with a low wattage amp ;)

they need to add two of the 2 inch reference midrange domes to each speaker in this design., in a real room the bass is overwhelming the mids by a huge margin. , drop the crossover down to 200 hz for the bass driver.
@audioarkitekts2 ай бұрын
In a real room? I disagree. In my fake room the bass was perfectly balanced. No need to bastardize these speakers to sound flat and dull like all other audiophile garbage. Let us guys with hungry ears get that beautiful V curve we love so much.

Those protruding socket head cap screws on the tweeters look amateurish.

Doesn't bother me, I think it looks good. There isn't a rule of thumb on protruding socket heads as far as I know.

@@audioarkitekts Maybe not, but if I couldn't go with flat heads I'd at least use button heads.

As a person with extensive speaker design experience, I look at these and see all sorts of issues. Interesting to me is you seem to not only love them, but gush over them. Today I see GR research's take, another actual speaker designer: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4qwmpujgp1koqs Don't get me wrong. It's perfectly fine to like them. I have issues with the gushing.
