NVIDIA’s LDAT - the latency and display analysis tool - is an incredible bit of kit. It allowed us reviewers the chance to test latency in games, on displays and even peripherals like mice - something we didn’t really have access to with this much ease before. The biggest problem with it, by far, is that only a handful of lucky folk like me got one. If you want to fine tune your system, games and peripherals, you’re pretty much out of luck. The good news though, is that thanks to all my work with the open source response time tool - and especially the newer Pro version - I have enough knowledge to solve that problem. This is the open source latency testing tool, or OSLTT.

Hey man, about this DirectX test, in this video you showed with pro version, with its unavailable for now. This simple version OSLTT also compatibile with this test?

Yep! If you want to test latency, OSLTT is the best choice. If you want to test monitors and response times, then you'll want to hold on for the response time tool (OSRTT) to be available (I'm working on it!)

Is there a way to have a latency number come up on the unit itself? I was interested in comparing handheld consoles to arm-based emulators? If not, I guess I could strap it to the screen while plugging it into a pc...

At the moment the processing is all done on the system, so you would need a PC to connect it to, but I've done testing on consoles and it works fine for that
