Hmph, for once I agreed! : ) I mean, this opening video of the Oscars (back in 1963) is in black and white which is digitally remastered that I wasn't born in the 1960's, but only in the late 1990's (1998).

Those 1963 Oscars marked the first time hand-held cameras were used (ABC once called theirs "creepie-peepies") to cover the arrivals and the stars up close inside the theater.

It's amusing that Sinatra introduced Shelly Winters as a presenter- they made a film together called Meet Danny Wilson, before Sinatra's comeback, and they hated working with each other. It ended badly.

The Academy would consider it a devaluing their product. There is also an issue with all the video clips (the nominated films) as well as the live performances, which are copyrighted material. Hollywood is an industry first, a cultural treasure second.
