16 years old, in a field in Glastonbury, it's about 9pm, the night had just begun after a beautifully hot day, and hearing The Orb for the first time. Life changed forever for the better. Might have been the acid too.

My sister came back from Glasto 93 subtly, but definitely, changed. She told me she saw the Orb and it was the greatest thing ever. Years later I stole her 'Live in 93' double-CD album and had my own transformative moment. Surely not a patch on being there, but it still felt special to me. I lost count of how many times I fell asleep to it, out of my brain.

My good friend at the time (Joel - hope your still on this plane somewhere x) and me jumped the fence that day and were here, tabs and cash on hip after getting some work cash paid on friday, we deciding to ‘gently’ steal my Mums car for the weekend.. It will never leave me this gig as one of those indescribable events of witnessing the music in shape-like form bouncing out from the stage straight out to the crowd, all confusing, all wonderful, truly spiritual!

We hopped the fence the day before,I believe this was the Saturday night,on before was the Ozrics and that's when we did our planets,our mate went down the front for the Ozrics and we didn't see him for 2 weeks,after the Orb he decided to walk home ( to North Devon) after the Ozrics I found myself amazed at The Orb sampling The Kinks You Really Got Me only to realise I was at the wrong stage. I floated back to the Other Stage for the best musical experience of my life. I'm now pushing 50 but will never forget that weekend.

Dodgy Old Lampy Hahahhahahahhaah No, she has always known, of course we were not in the crowd, and she was asleep in the stroller cozy, like "little fluffy clouds" ;) Even the following years, until 2000 we were in Glasto, 94 Orbital. In a month my daughter graduated from the Imperial College of London, who knows, maybe it was also that the music made a contribution, from the fact that this genre was called "Intelligent Techno" and she listened to it a lot. I'm a DJ ;)

This was the best experience people never had because they never had experience what is up chicken sandwich! We need all of the steps is at the front in the chicken mosh pit. If you would dare you chicken you were there. 1993 was the best 1990 to come down party. This is the Orb accept nothing less than the beginning of bacon! You’re gonna fucking love this. Sorry about the Swears.

Loved The Orb but Glasto93 was one of their infuriating self destructive gigs for me. My memory is the whole crowd willing LX to bring in some full on percussion and, whilst constantly teased, it never came. Just a pure ambient set. Great at dawn not great at 11pm. Banging versions of Assassin or Ever Pulsating would have blown the sky out. Shame.

Yeah ditto, saw the Orb live in Japan at rainbow festival on mT Fuji in 97. Was about 2am. Mindnumbingly boring and I love the Orb.

i went to a club around 97 or 98 when alex patterson was djing. he came on at 10pm, dancefloor was full and he managed to clear it in 2 hours by playing very dull trance music without even a beat. he had to be told to stop at 3 am cos he had been going for 5 hours.
