Just something my dermatologist told me: Skin showing signs of ageing like wrinkles isn’t unhealthy skin, it’s just not aesthetically ideal. Your skin can still be healthy as it shows ageing so you’re not doing anything wrong :)

Absolutely!! No one *needs* any anti aging skincare. Aging is a normal part of life, wrinkles and all, but for many different reasons, a lot of people like to minimize or stave off as much as possible. But that does not mean you have to buy any means use anything other than a good for your skin type face wash and moisturizer (and SPF to protect from cancer).

@@jamiehorwitz1227 That depends! Anti-aging skincare is not needed for you. But for many of us it's NEEDED. My mum has been using retinol+vitamin E for over 20 years. Her skin looks amazing! I love using retinol, vitamin E and Niacinamide regularly. My skin looks better at 24 than when I was 18. So I think anti-aging care is need for me.

I’m 48 years old, I didn’t want to do any injectables, so I’ve been using the Argireline every morning all over face and neck, night time arireline followed by Matrixyl , then 3 times a week the Buffet + copper at night and one’s a week the retinol 0.5 in squalane . All I can say is that this year I had 3 young men 20 years younger than me hitting on me, so something must be bloody working well🤷🏻‍♀️.
@christopheranderson1786
@christopheranderson1786 Жыл бұрын
I've just added Argireline and Matrixyl into my skincare and use both morning and night, and these two products work great together and can complement each other. I've also added The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%. As well as reducing redness can help with acne Niacinamide reduces pore size by giving the skin more elasticity. Niacinamide has also been shown to repair skin cells damaged from exposure to UV rays that cause premature ageing. While all skin care products can be helpful for our skin, I complement them with a collagen supplement with other beneficial supplements as this helps to nourish, moisturize and support our skin from the inside out while providing good support on the inside.

I have a very mild case of psoriasis. On my face. Near the hair-line, wherever I sweat. Red inflamed skin, dehydrated but oily. After a special shampoo, the skin would harden, turn into flakes and then fall off, revealing new layer of already inflamed, pink skin underneath. I have suffered for years and years. Invested in some of the Ordinary products. It was all gone in one week. No red inflamed skin, no flakes, no scabs, nothing. Just a normal skin. I wish I had pictures and could post them here. I know this is unrelated. All I used was the Niacinamide + Zinc and the NMF. My skin would literally suck the NMF in like crazy. Now I am also using a cleanser from CeraVe, Retinol from the Ordinary, toner from Pixi and a night cream from Cetaphil. The results are amazing and I will continue with my routines. It works for me and it is fun! Thank you for your videos, they are amazing, full of information, knowledge and fun.

I have psoriasis too, but bad enough and in more places than not on my body so I take medication for it. To spot treat, my Dr gave me some retin A because it helps the skin turn over faster, which helps get rid of the skin that’s growing faster. Another one that helps is salicylic acid (I don’t know how much longer I can wait before it’s back in stock!!)

Retinol/tretinoin/retinoids usually cause peeling and mild irritation, that's bcz they getting rid of your outer layer and boost new collagen and regenerate cells. Use them for as long as you can tolerate, when your skin starts peeling, looks a bit red, switch to a good moisturizer, then after a few days start again. Everytime it happens, your skin get better

@София-д3р7д
@София-д3р7д 4 жыл бұрын
@@Catania13 I use the caffeine serum 1st, then the buffet serum twice a day, in the morning and evening. Adapalene is another version of retinol or tretinoins. Use it at night only, right before bedtime, bcz light oxidizes them. It's best to use Retinols or adapalenes alone or you will dilute it other products and they become less effective. I use La Roche B3 retinol at night. This works for me. But if you want to layer your products, you can use your warbased serums 1st, after they absorb into your skin, you can use the adapalene. Use the buffet and other serums, then use adapalene on top. Don't use adapalene on top of moisturizers or oil based serums, adaplene won't be able to penetrate.

It's hard to find actually informed people talking about skin issues out there, so I'm very glad I found your channel! I was wondering, do you happen to have any tips for blackhead-prone skin? I've had very large blackheads all over my face and my chest for almost ten years now (I'm almost 23), and whereas at first I brushed it off as just hormones, I now begin to wonder if there is something I can actively do. It has caused me a lot of issues, lowered my self esteem and pushed me to wear make up on a daily basis, which I don't think is very healthy. Is there ANYTHING I can do other than cleansing and scrubbing?

I'm 49 with huge issues with pigmentation (pregnancy mask after my son who is now heading for 29) and years of putting cooking oil on my face as a kid and running out in the sun to get my "vitamins" because mam said "you'll be sorry if you're in bed with the cold in winter". Also an extremely violent assault has left my left eyelid falling down over my pupil and both eyelids are saggy as they regularly fill with fluid and get as small as two wee slits. I emailed The Ordinary and they planned out a morning regimen and 3 evening regimens - one to be used once a week and then rotate between the other two for the rest of week. Email them. They're great. You'll have to upload photos in good light for them to accurately assess your needs. So bloomin affordable. I spent about £55 sterling and I've an array of goodness. 3 weeks in today and my skin looks so healthy and my right eyelid is lifting. Left eyelid hasn't drooped over my pupil in 3 weeks either but I'm still tentative about reporting improvement with it yet - it sometimes happens like that anyway.

Hi Henrietta! I'm soon to become a licensed esthetician and I just wanted to make some general recommendations. Retin-A is the only proven ingredient to reverse years of aging, it is very strong so allow yourself to build a tolerance from using it once weekly, to twice/three times weekly, and so on. Hydroquinone is a great but controversial ingredient for dark spots, I would recommend checking Paula's Choice triple action dark spot eraser 7% aha AS A SPOT TREATMENT 2-3 weekly, and maybe avoid using with the retin-a. There are so many other great products for skin lightening like AHAs, tranexamic acid, arbutin, licorice root, and vitamin c. It could get overwhelming but The Ordinary, and The Inkey List are great brands to start with, Paula Choice for a little more high end. PLEASE finish every routine with an SPF of 30 or higher, especially with AHAs and retinoids since they make your skin more sun sensitive :) I hope this helps, good luck and have fun and be safe!

The caffeine solution info was new to me, I guessed the other two :-) I've been using the buffet, I like it but it has grown my peach fuzz unfortunately. So I just use it on my forehead. I use it at night with my retinoids because of the pH. The ordinary website and Brandon in an interview before he passed talked about euk for anti-aging. I'm curious about it. I read the science behind it and bought some. I use it sometimes at night as well, supposedly it's more powerful as an antioxidant than vitamin C

Alright I have been using caffeine EGCG but I mainly wanted to target wrinkles and it didn't work for that atleast for me. I didn't have much puffiness or dark circles so it didn't really make a difference for me. I am not saying that this product is inefficient. I just used the wrong product to target my issue.

Marium Riaz I appreciate you sharing your experience, and based on what you’re saying would tend to agree! What’s better for wrinkles are retinol products. The caffeine may be good at D puffing and for some redness, but for retraining wrinkles I would definitely go with something like the Granactive retinoid!

Almost everywhere. It's on amazon but it's waaaay more expensive there so I wouldn't. I still have half bottle left. Don't go for the retinol in squalane. I did that thinking I was easing myself in. Just yesterday I ordered a bottle of TGF-B booster serum from Le Mieux and then I watch one of your videos only to find out it can contribute to the growth of moles because it’s a growth factor 👀😱 I have a million little moles all over my face and neck 😔, so you can only imagine what would have happened if i hadn’t discovered this very imperative truth... I cancelled the order immediately so thanks 😊 ❤️ My question is will the Ordinary Buffet have the same effect on Moles. Thanks in advance for your so informative and intelligent response. ❤️

Watched all your videos and then went a little off track when I got online! Ah well. Now I know what suits my skin and what isn't really for me. It's all good though because I now have my 14 (almost 15) year old starting to use some things too so between the two of us, we're sorted for a while. She has minor breakouts from time to time and the lactic acid and niacinamide is really helping it. We're going to do a patch test on her this week for the AHA peel. We'll be referring to your video for patch testing AGAIN as always.

@@bluecurlygirl I have used it now for a week and got zero irritation. 1% retinol in squalane should be as strong as RetinA 0.05% which I used before also without irritation. I'm looking for a super hydrating sunscreen that will work well with a pre makeup routine. Moisture booster and HA SERUM followed by ceraVe and after about 10 minutes my Bobbi brown vitamin face base. I keep trying to find a good sunscreen that works, but also is moisturizing.
