Thank you Ashley❤ I have been following you for around 6 yrs now. You are the one that got me started on The Ordinary and I just can’t thank you enough‼️ It has made such a difference in my 67 yr old skin😃 I LOVE the retinol from The Ordinary now! The Tretinoin has gotten to be to drying for my skin as I have aged and this is a wonderful replacement. I also use the other two 👍 Thanks for all your hard work and sharing with us😘

Hi Ashley I am a bit late to see this video I would like to ask you how to incorporate the copper peptide in my routine while I am using vit C in the AM and tretinoin in the PM. ❤
@SincerelyMissAsh
@SincerelyMissAsh 2 ай бұрын
Hey!! If you are using a Vitamin C derivative (anything other than Ascorbic Acid or L-Ascorbic Acid) you can use Copper Peptides with derivatives. I use Ascorbic Acid so I generally alternate my days with Vitamin C and Copper Peptides or sometimes I will take a week off Vitamin C and incorporate Copper Peptides instead. On the nights I don't use Tretinoin and I don't want to exfoliate, I will use Copper Peptides. I have been hearing from a few dermatologist that you can use Copper Peptides with Tretinoin but I am still keeping them separate.

I use the Copper Peptides in the AM, and the Retinal in the evening. Once or twice a week a exfoliate instead of using the Retinal, but otherwise I use both products daily. I agree with you that a good vitamin C would be a welcome addition from the brand, although I believe I would have to fit it into my routine away from the copper peptides. If they come out with one that makes sense, I'll work that in somewhere.

I’m almost 40, I’ve used Sunday Riley Retinoid serum but didn’t see much from it. For years I e used Differin and it helped for my hormonal/occasional breakouts but nothing for anti-aging. I added Madeline acid for exfoliating and was told to stop using differin while using it but I’m breaking out so bad now and my skin does not feel exfoliated at all, it’s very rough and I feel like the lines are worse on my face. So I’m trying to figure out an overhaul of what to do. I just want products that will work and not waste my time anymore. I used to use The Ordinary about 5 years ago and liked what I used but didn’t feel like they did much for anti-aging at the time. Now I’m considering giving them a try again. What would suggest for a routine for me?

Hi Ash, I am 65 and I use prescription tretinoin and I notice now I am more dry that I am older. I want to target my huge lines 😂 what should I use with the two serums you showed? I use the face wash, lotion and also how often can I use the Glycoic acid with these serums? I also use the eye serum. I need help putting together a morning and night routine
@SincerelyMissAsh
@SincerelyMissAsh 2 ай бұрын
Hey!! Ok so if you want to use Resveratrol with Tretinoin you could but start slow as Resveratrol could cause some dryness when first starting for some people. This would be the routines that I would do with the above products you mentioned: Morning: Cleanse, Copper Peptides, Moisturizer and Sunscreen. Night: Cleanse, Resveratrol, Tretinoin, Moisturizer. 1-2 nights per week or when needed you can incorporate Glycolic Acid but it shouldn't be used with Resveratrol, Copper Peptides or with Tretinoin. Glycolic Acid is strong on its own so use it with your moisturizer. Hope this helps😊

Do whatever is working for you. There are people that like to apply Tretinoin before serums etc but for me, I find everything layers better when applying products from thinnest to thickest (Mists, Serums before creams like Tret and Moisturizer). If I apply serums on top of Tret sometimes I will experience pilling.

Should I eliminate something?
@SincerelyMissAsh
@SincerelyMissAsh Ай бұрын
Aw you're so welcome!! Your routines look great but there is a lot in each routine and some products you have in them can conflict. There might be some products that you may want to use occasionally when you need them like the Hydration Vaccine (this can be used on top of moisturizer or in replacement of moisturizer) or even Modulating Glucosides but of course you can use them daily too. I would actually create 3 routines and alternate them but of course, you do whatever is working for you, it's just a recommendation.. *Note: Azelaic Acid shouldn't be paired with Lactic Acid, Copper Peptides. Peptides, Retinol/Retinal. If you want to alternate Lactic Acid with Azelaic Acid you can but don't pair together. I didn't add Azelaic Acid to the following routines below as I am not sure how consistent you want to be with everything so if you would rather be more consistent with Azelaic then you could replace Peptides or Lactic Acid with it. Routine 1 (Morning): Mist, Multi-Molecular, Copper Peptides, Argireline, Fractionated Eye Contour, Hydration Vaccine, SPF Routine 2 (Night): Mist, Multi-Molecular, Resveratrol, Eye Serum, Modulating Glucosides (use when needed or keep in routine), Retinal Emulsion, Hydration Vaccine Routine 2: (Night): Mist, Lactic Acid, Multi-Molecular, Modulating Glucosides (use when needed or keep in routine) Hydration Vaccine Hope this helps!

@SincerelyMissAsh 2 ай бұрын
Everyone is going to have their own opinions based on experiences but in my opinion and from my experience with the two (because I also really love the Pycnogenol serum), I find Resveratrol works better for addressing fine lines/brighter skin where as Pycnogenol is more for brightening and adding more hydration to the skin.

This is no disrespect, but for me and my sensitive skin, all these options are harsh in doing their job. The copper peptides 'sort of' creates a 'wound' to the skin barrier, in order to achieve. The ferulic acid strips the top layer of the skin barrier. And the Vitamin A demolishes the top skin barrier too.... I love the idea of resveratrol, but I wish I could find it in a non-harsh formulation...

Everyones skin is different and I feel,for you. I have rosacea (my skin is oily rather than dry though) and some products sting - I have wasted a lot of money over the years trying to find something that works for me. I found a gentle SAP (sodium ascorbyl phosphate = vitamin C derivative) serum helped my skin a lot as very gentle. Sadly the brand I used to use I think the company went out of business during the pandemic so I am still trying to find a good cost effective replacement. But maybe do some research and see if a SAP serum might help.

When I first started using the Resveratrol serum several years ago I did notice my skin to be a little dry and it also gave that tingling sensation to the skin. Once my skin adjusted to it I don't experience that anymore so it's very possible that is also what you are also experiencing. Start slow like one day a week then go to two days a week and so on to allow your skin to adjust.
