Love the music from the OG instruments. Learned to love theatre organ at the Portland location as a kid, learned to love lighting from the amazing light pillars, learned to love networking from the amazing remote control of such an insane number of pipes and instruments from a gorgeous console, learned to love monkeys with cymbals from... Well obviously - thanks for the music 🎶💙

I was living in Portland at the time of this recording. I worked at the 82nd avenue McDonalds at the edge of Parkrose in high school and my friends and I would go to the Organ Grinder on special occasions. I went to Fremont jr. high and Parkrose high. Started my track and field 'career' at Fremont jr. high. Thanks for uploading the video.

Such great memories here as a child missing these old nostalgic places, even Chuck E. Cheese’s isn’t what it once was in the beginning with the mouse tunnels, everything is updated and 10 times as expensive sadly 😔

Man the acoustics of that building made everything pop and thunder.

Amazing live hot recordings of this iconic instrument. And interesting photos. Was this recorded durrimg the installation of the oriental theater 3 manual console? Before the pipework outgrew and the installation of the boston met console 4 manual?

Thanks for the nice comments. Yes, this is the Oriental console, and much of the ranks and percussion. The way I remember it, we made the switch over to the Boston console in 1976. That was my last year, and I played it for a year or so. It was a little intimidating at first. That Oriental console then found a new home at Uncle Milt's in Vancouver until the 1990's.

@@praboin pstos site says Uncle Milt's was bought by Rite-Aid in 1999 or so. Now it's a gym, The Lord's gym. Front of building is still the same. Sad chuck-e-cheese stayed but expensive to maintain organ restaurants had to shut down. The Organ Grinder on 82nd, King Buffet has moved out due to Covid.. Building is for sale!
