My grandfather on my mother's side was a zephardic jew from Malaga, Spain. He migrated to Puerto Rico, not clear when. All i know is that my mother observed jewish traditions, and though, both my mother and father were " catholics", never went to church. Thank you for this wonderful video.

My family is one of these families! My family left Spain and moved to Denmark, which also welcomed Sephardic Jews. Then my family moved to England, which also welcomed lot of Sephardic Jews settled. You forget to mention the Portugese Jews who fled in 1492 - 1495 to the Netherlands. They came to the country as Christians, but soon turned back to their own religion. They bear (the ones who survived WWII) their Spanish family names as Da Colsta - Gomez, Fereira, Querido etc. As the Netherlands had no history of pogroms, the Portugese Jews look in general like Sephardic Jews.

God reminded me about "wolf" "Lope" the generic species name for wolves, "canis lupus", and my maternal grandfather's family coat of arms motto, "Like wolves we go after our enemies" and a pack of wolves are depicted on the coat of arms. Now take it anywhere else, Wolfgang and Wolf as a first name, or even a German girl who I met in college, Von Wulfen. Then Llerena, is also Sephardic, even if ended up being Lerena.
