Many years ago before my knees gave up, I climbed Cadair Idris. I got almost to the summit at the place where the land falls away on all sides a sort of saddle point and I was so exhausted that I had to sit down. So I sat down in this perfectly fitting chair shaped groove in the rocks which even had armrests at the correct height and from where you could survey the whole of North Wales. It was very relaxing and comfortable. I was woken by the sound of air rushing through the wingtips of an Eagle that was circling around me. It was an eerie sound that stuck with me.

Now that's some syncronicity right there. This was playing in the background and I was researching Sirius, and whether or not it precessed. I started thinking, "Wait a minute...if at Newgrange Sirius always shows up in the window in the same spot, then obviously the legend about it being the only star that doesn't precess has some validity to it..." This I was thinking right at the exact moment Hugh starts talking about Sirius.

I was born there at Cerrig Y Druidion which Google translates as 'circle of precious stones'... which is a nice coincidence... looking forward to standing in The Land of The Dragons again. ...This was an interesting talk, the difficulty I had with it was that the identification of significant points (the star points) in the landscape which matched the zodiac map was not clearly defined - it was said some were marked with megalithic sites, others lakes, others churches... one a forest seemingly (which is a bit vague at best) but, no real idea of the intricacies of recognising those identifiers were disclosed - that makes it rather hard to get an impression of whether a strict coding of those points was adhered to, or, if not - which obviously leaves the drawing of that map wide open to confirmation bias - there's something everywhere on a map so if the expected marker is not defined beforehand, it's rather hard to know whether it's the author imposing those points of significance onto the map or those points being marked. Mmm. Still, most thought provoking... but, yes, I do have a worrying suspicion that the speaker may be able to replicate the same discovery across another patch of land, if he spent a few years looking for it.

Fascinating stuff on the whole, but I’m dubious about some of the etymologies put forward. I’m not saying you’re wrong/ I’m right etc, I would just question the pertinence of some of the conclusions you’re coming to. For one, Eryri does not mean Eagles. The element Er in Eryr has the meaning of raised or exhalted. An Eagle is called Yr Eryr in Welsh and it carries the meaning of The Raised (which makes sense) Welsh names for flora and fauna are very rarely labels put on objects. Rather they communicate some meaning to the very thing being named. The truer meaning of Eryri would be raised land, or even highlands, which also makes sense given the terrain. The word Amser in Welsh indeed means time but in Irish we have the word Aimsir meaning weather. We see other languages where time and weather are expressed with the same word; tempo in Latin meaning both. So before the more modern usage Tywydd became the word for weather in Welsh perhaps there had been an intersect, or double meaning, to the word Amser. That’s the problem with an ancient language like Welsh, one where a concerted effort has been made to make it extinct; its etymologies may well be beyond our understanding. There’s an interesting double meaning to the word Gwydd, meaning both knowledge and presence. The Welsh language is woefully underrepresented when it comes to etymology. It’s always useful to cross reference Welsh with Irish to ascertain the meaning and antiquity of certain words as Irish had fewer upheavals and influences before the Industrial Age.
@chessmodernist5 ай бұрын
I am no expert in etymology, but it seems you raise an important point. Sad to see that the author has not responded to it, as surely, its an important issue. Where is his reply to your insightful contribution? I hope he is not one of those we often find in the alternative history camp who only seem to respond to those who agree or praise their theories and respond with silence and sometimes annoyance to any criticism. There are far too many who present theory in tones of finality and seem to lack the humility of being open to being wrong and they seem to float to the top these days in the alternative spheres (especially politics!) as the expected norm. I also hope You Tube's design does not hide comments that raise critical questions either. Apart from this, I find it intriguing that terrain and names given to places reflect or originate names placed on ancient star maps and some attempts at doing this are older than others indicating a genealogy of history that has been obscured.

Could this be where the term Eagle-eyed comes from Eryr - Eagle Eryrl - To watch, a look out, to look after
@hughevans46522 жыл бұрын
Maybe, there are multiple layers of meaning. It might be that the eagle got its name from this system of watching the heavens in circles above. Aderyn is Welsh for bird.

@@hughevans4652 I really enjoyed the presentation Hugh, it reminded me of something I had a theory about and awhile back but other things took up my time and attention and forgot to go back to but I think it might possibly add to your research and work. I won’t go into all the details so to cut a long story short, my theory was that boat shaped burial mounds where located on top of hills/mountains etc because the boat was considered the vessel to be transported to the otherworld, ie Milky Way, a river/sea of the of heavens, so being buried as high up as possible so being as close to the heavens for the boat to take them to the afterlife. Yr Wyddfa being Snowden, according to Pughe Gwyddfa means -a place of presence -an eminence where bardic meetings were held -an artificial mound, or tumulus, which served to teach the people from and also a sepulchre. All places appropriated for those uses were comprehended in the term Gwyddfa, but those constructed of earth were likewise called Bál and Beili, as were the heaps of stones called Carn and Carnedd. The interesting thing that found from that was a word a couple of words later… Gwyddfarch, a wooden support, a wooden horse, an epithet for a ship Wyddva being Gwydd + fa (mutated Ma) Gwydd meaning -a state of recognition, or knowledge -presence and Ma meaning -what is identified as being produced, existing or filling a space -what has space -what yields space -a place, space, spot -a where -a state I also have a theory that St Non is a version of Mary so would be interested if there are any links to any St Non’s like there is with St Mary’s

@@Penddraig7 Hi Penddraig. I go into the detail of the meaning of Yr Wyddfa in my book The Origin of the Zodiac, and the importance of the Great Ship constellation and the Milky Way. I am also expanding on this in my companion book The Origin of Time, which I am writing currently. But generally I am in agreement with you. I don't think it is a coincidence that goodbye in Welsh is hwyl, from hwylio, to sail. It is a metaphor of real time passing and journey in the now, but also of the spiritual and future journey of the soul, wishing a good and safe journey sailing on the Milky Way in the Great Ship. That might be why these boat graves are on top of hills, to be as close to the heavens as they can be.
@Penddraig72 жыл бұрын
@@hughevans4652 I totally agree, for me, that is the beauty of the welsh language, it’s the perfect language for metaphors. I had a teacher at school who taught me a different way to learn and memorise using the link and story memory techniques and I believe that’s how the scholars of the time memorised the stars and all that came with doing so. The star maps being one (link method) and the Mabinogi another (story method) The welsh language makes it very easy to associate physical things with abstract ideas and as such creating a story that is easy to remember using the physical things as memory prompts as to the abstract and it has allowed you millennia later to come along and rediscover the secrets to what had been lost to time, I think your work is just the tip of the iceberg to understanding a much bigger picture, it’s the key to understanding our hidden history, hidden in plain sight history

Something interesting about three circles. It takes three orbiting objects to create a sphere with no gaps in it. This can be considered as a way to create a single layer force field, with one central seperate controlller of orbits. To create a two layer forcefield you need one orbit controller managing 3x3 single force fields etc. Before NASA Deliberately degraded to photographs of Our Sun and its surroundings, when still in pin sharp high definition, it was possible to make out extremely large Things, the size of Planets, close to, and near the surface of Our Sun. When the light was at a suitable angle, it was possible to see that the Outer layer was Transparent, and that inside that layer, guesscwhat? Yep, each of them had easily discerned three objects orbiting. How many multiples of three orbiter plus orbit controllers, plus layers of shielding each of them had, was impossible to determine, But the size of those Spheres is absolutely staggering. Anyone able to get hold of early Solar observation non degraded HD photos, look very closely at them, and these objects are very diff8cult to miss. One observation on the Star Map site. The last Ice Age had Claciation as far South as Aberaeron. So how come the Star Map Site wasn't destroyed ? I think that would be the debunking approach taken by Academia, and Archaeology tbh. Simple answer, if the prevailing wind was from the East, the Snow would be dumped to the East of the Site, plus the Powerful winds being deflected Upwards, imho, creating a protected Oasis effect possibly including a much larger Anglesey North, due to 400 ft lower Sea Level, plus some distance to the South. Personally, I think a thorough Ocean Suevey along the Coast down to the 400ft depth today, could return some extremely interesting results today. I'm planning in having a 1kw forward plus Sidescan Sonar Transponder fitted to my next Sailboat, which will easily handle over 400ft water depth, so I'll try to have a run along the coast there, before disappearing to the much warmer places I need for my health. Thanks for a great video, my eyesight now is too bad for book reading sadly, or I'd buy them. Audio Books perhaps ? Best Wishes. Bob. 🏴

Thanks for your comment Bob, which I have just seen. Interesting thoughts on the sun, I haven't come across that. Regrading ice age effects, yes, there are many effects of the ice age over Britain and Wales and this would have disrupted the Star Maps of Gwynedd, had they been conceived/built before the ice age. The present stones are neolithic/bronze age, and I believe date from 5000BCE roughly the time Enoch/Idris come to remap them and at a point that the sea levels stopped rising after the ice age had finished. I write about it in my book, but was not able to put all my points in my presentation. I have considered an audio book, but much of my work is visual, presenting maps of the stars and corresponding ground features.

An interesting approach land zodiac. Lets try to define. An intentionally made locus of location by our ancients, lost in time and yet loosely preserved in their myths and later on intuitively recovered and then confirmed in retrospect by a rather imaginative intuitive study of place, place name and landscape features and history, mythography etc. Hence a collection of deliberately designed set of landmarks by our ancients, which has been added to and appended on over the years as traditions continued and changed and which reflect and also importantly BUILD the etymology and imagery of zodiacal lore and the history of star map making itself. An interesting and reasonable concept, whatever the faults in interpretation and conclusions and the sometimes mistaking of fascinating coincidence with intentionality.

The Plough is an Arad in Welsh=Ancient British= the language of Atlantis. A bear is an Arth. Ar means 'upon', and implies the stars upon us generally and the constellations of the norther circumpolar constellations in particular. Ursa Major is from Welsh, phonetically it is written Y-ar-sa which means the-upon-stars.

I know that this be rather a indirect remotely synchronous fact (hence fascinating in a purely subconscious way as effect of space and place on the outer regions of the mind expressed through art and story telling), but Rupert Bear as drawn by Alfred Bestall is set in the landscape of Snowdonia. In other words the magical world of Rupert and the various animal headed creatures in Nutwood, is set in the land of the Enochian Zodiac in the regions of Snowdonia! Indeed that's where Alfred Bestall lived when drawing and creating his new Rupert stories for many years. He lived quite close to this possible original Enochian zodiac. He 'channelled' Rupert in the village of Beddgelert where he lived and Snowdonia landscape was his inspiration for his art.

Why is the most important question. I'm still researching the 'why' and writing about it in my companion work The origin of Time. The ancients had an obsession with astronomy cause according to Josephus Flavius (Antiquities) Adam predicted that the earth is going to be destroyed once by fire and at another time by water: *Now this Seth, when he was brought up, and came to those years in which he could discern what was good, became a virtuous man; and as he was himself of an excellent character, so did he leave children behind him who imitated his virtues. All these proved to be of good dispositions. They also inhabited the same country without dissensions, and in a happy condition, without any misfortunes falling upon them, till they died. They also were the inventors of that peculiar sort of wisdom which is concerned with the heavenly bodies, and their order. And that their inventions might not be lost before they were sufficiently known, upon Adam's prediction that the world was to be destroyed at one time by the force of fire, and at another time by the violence and quantity of water, they made two pillars, the one of brick, the other of stone: they inscribed their discoveries on them both, that in case the pillar of brick should be destroyed by the flood, the pillar of stone might remain, and exhibit those discoveries to mankind; and also inform them that there was another pillar of brick erected by them. Now this remains in the land of Siriad to this day.*

Excellent video. Yes we are surrounded by the Celestial Sphere but what you have to comprehend is that we live on a flat plane within that sphere. No matter what you say or what you think, all ancient astronomers and astrologers knew the Earth is a flat plane. This has to be undeniably true because the notion of the Earth being a spinning sphere began (allegedly) only a couple of thousand years ago but this idea did not enter our thoughts until Copernicus in circa 1600's. When it dawns upon you that the truth is that the Earth is a flat plane, then everything falls into its true place, for as we enter the Great Age of Aquarius, the Awakening begins, and all the deception and resultant confusion of the past 2000 approx years during the Great Age of Pisces will fade away.

The mountain would not be on the coast and the sea not providing a datum . Then if there was a 360 vista from the top of the mountain why would they only use 180 degrees facing west when the celestial bodies move in the 360 not half . I think this man has an amazingly vivid imagination .

zodiac is not greek, and a weird thing to say if you are talking of etymology ? Zodiac in Ancient Greek ζῳδιακός [κύκλος] ("[circle] of little animals"), from ζῴδιον, the diminutive of ζῷον ("animal").Figuratively speaking , it's quite impressive how you manage to ignore this , you just opt it out or? Decide on?...Settle on?....so many options, how do you do it?🤔In Gøbekli Tepe , there are several carvings of small animals, many familiar symbols interpeted through the vedas of India . Not only constalations but astronomical events.A turtle between two men, is the symbol of the slow moving moon after an eclipse in the constalation gemini . It doesn't seem as you have no understanding of the arrival of a zodiac or calender . In pre history we needed to keep track of seasons, knowing where the animals migrate and when...when you start with agriculture , the calender must be in place at forhand . You need a date to know when to plant , if you don't understand this, you need to be educated by a farmer...any farmer...

Many of the things we study today do not fall into the category of hard physical sciences like Physics and Chemistry. One only has to think of Social Sciences, Economics, History and so on. Just because something is not a hard physical science does not mean it is not useful. Science can just mean knowledge gained through application of the scientific method. The origins of humankind is still an ongoing study. For example, the out of Africa theory may not be correct. Where I live in Victoria Australia colleague of mine has dated the Middens (Mounds of broken shell fish, fire remains near the sea) at 120,000 years. Here in Australia our Aboriginal people go back way beyond times that you guys in the Northern Hemisphere. The great thing is that it is ongoing research in these areas that MAY guide us to our real origins.

*A "watch" is a miliitary term which relates to how far the sun dial moves in its orbit around earth (sic) or duration indicated by degrees & a "watch" divided the duration of the sun & the moon or the heavens [heaven which disappeared in the daytime & thus the day of the Lord is night or 'great darkness'] into "watch units" which were vernacularly bastardized in the vain of Horus rendering hours by which to count the "watch" by or the arc of travel of said constellations & were counted whereby said numerology arose associated with it.* *However there is a mention of the zodiac in the Bible called the Mazzaroth; Job **38:31**,32,33 **_Can you tie the bands of the Pleiades, or release the cords of Orion? Can you lead out the constellations in their seasons, or guide the Bear with its cubs? Do you know the laws of the heavens, or can you set up their rule over the earth?_* *The Bible is a cheap rip off of the earlier Sumerian celestial sciences converted into to woo woo. However if you do etymology on the nouns you find origins from other myth stories many very closely linked to Enochian stories.* *Indeed the "angels" associated with the "watchers" title were military in organization so "watchers" may have been a misunderstanding of a military term that morphed upon entry into a new linguistic group attaining a different meaning in its entirety in this language.* *The watchers approached from the north pole & this also is in the Bible but coded with the application of 'jots & tittles' a renaissance upgrade to the ancient Hebrew. Many of those ideologies that had developed since the original plagiarism of the stories were snapshotted at that state of development by the creation of the Tanakh in the fourth century BC in the Septuagint. These stories had already been bastardized previously by the non-uniform oral transmission that happened as a result of the isolation of people into cities rendering Jer. **2:28** **_according to the number of thy cities are thy gods, O Judah_* *A lesson to be learned from the 'telephone game'....* *It appears that there are as many stories of the creation of the zodiac as there is societies.* *An interesting spin but circular in that he substantiates himself with Welsh lore kinda in the vain of Xstains requiring the Bible to be inerrant...*

The scope of my presentation was limited by time. I demonstrate on my youtube channel the converging origin of these myths using Welsh as (an overlooked) tool. Welsh is the living remnant of 'Ancient British', for want of a better term. Ancient British is a legacy of an antediluvian civilisation that named the stars and created our myths, from which other myths including Babylonian myth have evolved. Ancient British is the language probably spoken over a wide area of the antediluvian world, much like English is spoken today around the world but most people are not English and do not live in England.

@@hughevans4652 *I appreciate your response. I am not critical of your work as it obviously is involved & you have run down your local sourcing very well. However in North America we have the Mound Builder Societies who wove much more complex observations into their earthworks which also contained the knowledge of the Zodiac. These constructs rival if not exceed those to which you allude. I am still of the opinion that there was a pre-existing civilization which developed the Zodiac & much more scientific knowledge that was bastardized & simplified by those struck by woo woo that arises from awareness of something but the inability to explain it which then gives it a spiritual significance especially if it is very ancient knowledge lost.* *BTW I also happen to think that we were the original knowledge keepers as well & am prepared to defend this. The reality is that I will only convince myself more & convince you further of even less validity to my position but that my factoids support your suppositions. At the end of the day there is still much to be known as these disparate [?] societies obviously were gifted the knowledge from an earlier source. I suspect it to be too distant in the past for us to resolve exactly who developed this knowledge but the ghost populations identified in DNA research show that our societies are mere successors to many that have vanished. Therefore I must conclude that we will only continue to discover older societies who experienced exactly what we are experiencing & that it is sort of deja vue each time a successor society finds out the knowledge that they are the new knowledge keepers exclusive.* *Also Jewish mythology makes the same claims as you but often with appropriated ancient sites ergo The Threshing Floor of Araunah the Jebusite which was an ancient temple long destroyed but of which the floor remained which was then utilized as a threshing floor. David took it over to build an alter to Gad pronounced Gawd the Lord of David. Later it was the site of Solomon's temple. Likewise David occupied Zion a Jebusite city that became Jerusalem in the vain of becoming the current knowledge keeper.* *The twelve Israelite tribes allude to the Zodiac as half are curses or bad weather & half are blessings or good weather just as the mountains are of blessing & cursing. goD rises every day the Bible says clearly showing the connection to the sun & in fact goD declares himself the sun ergo Psalm 68:4 **_extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH_** [Jah being singular just as 'el' is & Jehovah [Jahovah] is plural just as elohiym is] & Jah is only visible during the day...* *As you can see this knowledge is woven into all sacred knowledge held by every society however bastardized it might be.* *At this point it has almost become racial/point of judgment or exclusion when one society declares them to be the true knowledge holders.*

@@nun_bel_eever Thanks for your insights, I came across a similar insight of the mounds, those of the bears, as being depictions of heavenly constellations/stars, especially considering ancient people were more closely aligned to the heavenly realms both spiritually, and in daily life, then we are now. @@ninastar5833 *Thx for your response. @ninastar5833 Жыл бұрын
@@nun_bel_eever I don't think that Science can be disputed without vilification or social repercussions, just look at the experience of the past 2-3 years, where we experienced one of the largest enforced beliefs, that had a detriment effect on all those that believed it. And yes the insurance systems slither their way and attribute or disassociate according to their self protection. Unfortunately, the Science belief system will lead people astray because it can find 'facts of opinion' that will go against the natural and empirical nature of our existence. For example the trinity is part of our existence, even our homes electrical wiring is based upon it (Father/male/positive, Mother/female/negative, and Son/male/neutral), but science will go onto say that gender is non binary.
