The Original Candy Man of Coney Island

Reflecting on 2023 and years passed, it's important to remember and honor those who have moved on from this Earth leaving cherished memories and creating lifelong impacts on others.
One of those individuals is John Dorman "Coney Island's Original Candy Man." (2/7/1930 - 12/28/23) Owner of Philips Candy in Port Richmond, Staten Island, NY. John brought pleasure to so many who grew up enjoying his homemade candy and treats. Four years ago I had the honor to meet John and he even made me such a beautiful Brooklyn Egg Cream. This video I made is dedicated to John. You will clearly see and hear his passion and love for bringing smiles to others which I believe is truly what is most important in life.
