Nickolas Robert Diaz[1] (born August 2, 1983) is an American professional boxer and mixed martial artist who competed in the welterweight and middleweight divisions of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Diaz is a former Strikeforce, WEC and IFC welterweight champion and a UFC title challenger. He also notably competed in PRIDE, EliteXC, DREAM, and Shooto. Nick is the older brother of former UFC fighter Nate Diaz, with the pair of brothers being one of the biggest influences in the sport of MMA.

I'm a huge nick and Nate fan. The UFC didn't rob him, his love of sweet Mary Jane robbed him. It's shouldn't be illegal, but it was at the time, and rules are rules. Most every MMA fan knows Nick had the potential to be a goat, but he got in his own way. Still a fan though.

Honestly what for? As I already said somewhere else, Nick probably doesn't even care himself. Everybody and especially people following him from his debuts know better. Introducing him in the hall of fame will only be some kind of "ok since we don't have a choice here you go" from the people who screwed him in the past, whatever if it's journalists, medias, or the UFC itself. They all made him dirty during his prime, they even won destroying it while he had still great years ahead. How entering the hall of fame would erase that? Real fans know better, no need for these officials 's recognition.

I've always been a fan of Nick Diaz. Since he fought Jeremy Jackson the second time to be clear. until today. Never missed a single of all his fights. Always enjoyed, whatever the result, I can not be more grateful for the entertainment he gave to his fans. But the real original gangster was, is and will always be Tank Abbot. I felt sick the first time I saw him fight when I was a kid. I'm 44 now. Nick is nothing but a nice well mannered man who turns into beast mode before a fight. He's never been in prison as far as I know. Tank ENJOYED breaking that guy's jaw while already unconscious on the ground.
