It’s sickening how brands don’t make inclusive shades and especially for a brand to change their shades and make them lighter. I’m so sorry for all the people out there with absolutely stunning skin that get left out from the beauty industry because brands can’t properly represent the human race. Not everyone is white and they know this so this is sooooo disappointing. It doesn’t directly affect me since I’m white and they always have my skin tone but I’m upset for the people that it does affect. Everyone should be able to wear makeup that matches their gorgeous skin!

You are absolutely right! They’ve totally changed their shades because I use chestnut and expresso which is even darker and I’m assuming instead of making darker shades, they threw in the blue and orange and are telling us brown skin girls to make it ourselves. Honestly, that’s bs to me.

@@Ohemaa most definitely. 💯 Plus I we’ve experienced better formulas. It took almost 18-20 years for them to change and make their formula better but along with it, you change the shade range. But then again this brand has always been late to the trends and their “efforts” for inclusivity. And can we be honest, la girl isn’t as inclusive as we thought. Their foundation range sucks, the formula sucks. All I can say is they are that brand like I knew they were.

It's very disappointing that their shade range drecreased so drastically. I am however wondering if they intended for the user to mix their own concealer shade using a "base" concealer & their color correcters? Either way, I do think their concealers should've stayed at the wider, more inclusive range from the get.

Oh they definitely bleached the shades truffle used to be a slightly darker than skintone shade for me and that was under the burning sun in my hometown. They deserve some shaming for this because it was not broken they should have let the shades be

Going off your old swatch to the new, it looks like they literally just removed the top 4 shade and bumped all the names down 4 slots from where they were. How sad. Companies need to make things MORE Inclusive, not less! I am definitely not buying anything from them if that's what they are choosing to do and in such a sneaky way. and then to send it all to you like it's a great gift is such a slap in the face. This is so disappointing. I used the deep pallette from them to Contour and the expresso in the concealer, and now I don't have a shade. What they should have done is changed the packaging because the brand has so many imitations that buying it in Africa is super shady unless you go to a major store.

They probably changed things because sales may have not been the best on the brand as a whole. So many more options are available now much more so than 10 years ago as far as concealer. Many of us moved on to other brands in that time period. They have changed a lot of their product line as well in other products as well. Can't beat them for a cheap color corrector and that is honestly the only thing I continue to use from their product line.

Not only is LA Girl the OG concealer but they are sending the PR like they use to! Back in the Day they brands would send every shade in a product. I still think that the orange color corrector is the best I've ever used. And I think I will get the blue shade.

Chestnut used to be my skintone 😢... not it looks like my highlight shade which was toffee. I just both the 3 pack of my 3 shades. My skintone, highlight and brightening so that's chestnut, toffee and cool sand [think that's the name] but this is madness. Not I gotta find another concealer... any recommendations? Um I was using it recently until I ran out of it, I used a lot of conclears and I like L.A the most they just work for me dark coco used to be my contour shade, but seeing it on you now ! I think it won't work anymore it was already a bit of a soft contour on me but now we'll it just blend into my skin. The rest are unrecognizable like what the hell happened. Will I look like a ghost if I buyy usual stuff now I'm scared.
