As a disciple of the panchanan Bhattacharya ji authentic kriya yog lineage, I can say that what he is speaking is 100% correct and it's very rare to have such an authentic information because I have seen a lot of people in internet who are calling them gurus and doesn't know these things. Like one of the important thing he mentioned that yogananda lineage has removed khechri mudra from the practice which is among the prominent mudra in order to reach higher stages like samadhi. Hats off to you bro, you must be a disciple in panchanan Maharaj lineage👍

It's all well and good talking about it being the original kriya yoga, why is it not just explained what the kriya is? It is for householders, but you can't actually find the information easily. Why is it gate-kept?

Kriya Yoga is a very powerful practice that quickly empowers the student to enter deep meditation. It is passed from teacher to student through the guru-parampara process, which ensures that the correct technique as originally taught by Yogiraj Lahiri Baba passes to the student. The teacher takes on considerable responsibility for the spiritual welfare of the student and this should not be taken lightly. The strong bond between the teacher and student supports the student’s development. That is why the original Kriya Yoga continues to be taught in this way in the Panchanan Bhattacharya lineage. As someone who naturally has burdensome heavy thoughts if i dont monitor myself, learning meditation has changed my outlook on life. Ive explored alot from many walks of spirituality, and after coming across biography of a yogi, i realized there was something very powerful about the concepts, as well as something naturally reclined about the practitioners that i couldnt find in practitioners of other disciplines. Personally im very surprised at how little attention kriya yoga has gotten considering that steve jobs made mention of the autobiography book in his death wishes. It still seems to me that kriya yoga is relatively unexplored, and im aching for information. How does pratyahara and dharana relate to the concepts of 4 jhanas?
@ModernKriya Жыл бұрын
The four jhanas might be interpreted as the Buddhist perspective on parts of Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, especially pratyahara, dharanan, and dhyana. However, from my experience, their concepts don't ring true. The internal void is not empty, but full of forms that manifest from it. Also, it's not single pointed concentration that leads to the void, but rather transitioning into internalization (through pranayama or similar technique), the Tranquil Breath, and allowing internal integration to unfold. Ultimately, Buddhism and Kriya Yoga may be describing the same process, except the methods for Kriya Yoga are more pragmatic and less steeped in cultural baggage than Buddhism. I prefer simplicity and clarity over elaborate ritual and spiritual hierarchy.

@@ModernKriya Major aspects of mahayana buddhism is more lore than practice, and even theravada buddhism to some degree as well, but i thought it was very interesting that the concepts of 4 truths and 8fold path (the most practical testable ideas) seemingly have no contradictions with other spiritual practices and blend in with kriya yoga seamingly well. I see those buddhist ideas as a fundamental discovery, a starting point that was expanded upon with more detail with new yoga practices. During that point, language, science, the ways to communicate ideas with each other was relatively deficient. It seems like these ideas are heading in the same direction, so it makes me wonder if there are corollaries between the 4th jana and concepts that might exist in kriya yoga meditation stages

There may very well be similarities. I'm not familiar enough with Buddhist practices to be an authority on the subject. However, the meditation process is the same cross culturally, it's just finding the common principles that lead to deep states and mapping methods that is important.

Are you referring to the particular lineage of Kriya Yoga that you’re practicing?

YSS Kriya is just a gimmick

Well they’ve lost the original thread of how it was practiced by Lahiri Baba. Certainly the marketing material can come across as a bit gimmicky.
