I think a Capcom collection for resident evil is indeed on the way because today the Marvel versus Capcom collection was announced

The 15 rating is actually because the original release was rated by BBFC, while PEGI is a different rating system and didn't exist before 2003. The BBFC only rated specific games (the RE series is oe example, though not all games in the series though) and were normally better at rating games because PEGI is a lot harsher. I don't even understand why PEGI rated the original 1996 game 18 considering that is isn't as gruesome compared to later installments, plus when Resident Evil 3: Nemesis released on GameCube, they rated it 16, which I think is more appropriate for the first three games. Heck even Deadly Silence (the DS port of the original RE) was only rated 16 as well which makes this more strange.

You might be right we might get a classic collection of the original games we fans been asking for bro maybe the reason for the 18 rating maybe its the Japanese version getting released in North America

Classic collection would be great, it's been trend lately with games like Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid and so on, but im all for it.

PEGI wasn't around in the 90s right? We had ELSPA and the BBFC rating games at that time. No reason for PEGI to have a rating for an abandoned PC version of a game from 1996, so I'd imagine this has to be related to a new release.

If they do they need to put some work to remaster the game, without visual upgrade i don't care. I have RE2,RE3 on Dreamcast and it's fine

This. They designed hd mod packs a couple years back and called it the hd project. It covered the 1st 2nd and 3rd games and they look phenomenal. You should check out gameplay for them on here it's like night and day!

I bloody hope so. I do think we’ll see a classics collection on evercade though. They have the licence for Capcom games and evercade have just started to release PS1 games on their carts.

Funnily enough I spoke to Evercade at a convention and they may have alluded to this. No confirmation.

I just want to play these classics & not have to pay the highest ps plus tier like they've done with dino crisis. I'm lucky getting the directors cut for free as I bought it via PS3

These ports are the inferior way of playing these games, but on the other hands, are pretty much plug and play, controllers work out the box. However, if someone was really enjoying this port, I would either get them the fan patched director's cut on PS1, DS port or the Rebirth modded package.
