Man I never rode the original version in world of fun, but I remember going to parque del cafe on a trip when I was eight and riding this version all the way back then, really cool that you guys actually discovered it and gave it a review!

Thank you so much for posting this video! So many fond memories coming back to me. I grew up and still live in Kansas City. It was a huge loss when Cedar Fair removed Zambezi…and put in a freaking Boomerang. You’re my favorite coaster vlogger and I really look forward to your review of the new version. I’ve ridden it several times and it just gets better with each ride. It exceeds my expectations and now I have a top three (Prowler and Mamba) I’m so happy to have in my backyard.

I grew up in California, but my extended family all lives in KCMO. I first rode this at 7 years old. I grew up with this coaster. Almost every year of my childhood, we went to WoF. I've had other favorites since then, but this one holds a special spot in my heart. After watching you for a few years now, I was kinda hoping you got to experience it for yourself sometime. I'm happy you liked it so much, as I think you are hard to please. Orient Express was also great but it's been melted down, sadly. Yeah... I also experienced a pre-Six Flags, Magic Mountain also. I'm an oldster! LOL

I know zinger is yet to open but the biggest sleeper is definitely pipeline. People were saying all kinds of bad things about it when it was announced but now People are saying it's a top tier rollercoaster

I rode the new Zinger yesterday and have mixed feelings. It was ROUGH, especially in the front car. Back car was much smoother and enjoyable. My friend and I are hoping we can some day go to Colombia and ride the original again. It was my first coaster as a kid and I have amazing memories of it!

The Zinger was my first coast back in the early '80s. It was the first one I was tall enough to ride. I remember every visit riding the Zinger over and over again waiting to get tal enough to ride the Orient Express with my big brother who was almost 6 years older that me. I loved the Zinger and I was sad when they removed it and I wasn't able to bring my kids out to the Midwest to ride the rides I grew up riding. I am glad that there is another park taking care of the Zinger so that families somewhere can enjoy it the way I did as a young child.

As I'm from Germany I never had the chance for the Zambezi Zinger. But I know exactly what you express. I have a kiddie ride (one of my first coasters) at "Panorama Park" in Germany and I was so intriged when I found out in the cte series that it's now in Bon Bon Land... So I might have to stop there when I'm in Denmark

To quote Varsity Blues and Sara for naming it the ‘Colombian Cuddler’, I give the OG Zambezi Zinger a 10!! And yeah Sara and I’s Apple Watches kept giving us the excess noise alarm on every single ride, and that alarm goes off at a minimum of 95 decibels, so who knows how loud it really was Such a bucket list ride…so when do we go back? 😎

I rode it when it was at Worlds Of Fun. I was 7 yrs old and it was my first "adult" coaster. I sat up front and it didn't have seatbelts.... you sat down and off you went. I miss it to this day!

Six Flags Great America is my home park and I love Whizzer, it has very little airtime but it feels really fast especially because of the trees and terrain it passes through. This ride looks even better, and I hope these last 2 speed racers don't go.

I road the Zinger when I was 7 in 1976 it was my first grown up coaster and I was so scared. After that first ride I was hooked. It became my favorite ride at Worlds of Fun. I was so sad I didnt make it out to WoF for a few years and when I did return the zinger was gone. I would love to take a vacation to Columbia and ride it again.

I love historic rollercoasters and I find this interesting that it really shows the difference in tameness of older family coasters compared to today. I respect where we came from but it's also a good reminder that we are in a kind of renaissance of great family coasters, tipified with the old vs new Zambezi Zinger.

27 years later and the removal of this roller coaster without an announcement or farewell STILL resonates with Kansas City residents. Cedar Fair, after only owning Worlds of Fun for two years until Zambezi Zinger’s removal, really had no idea the effect this would have on the park goers. I think it’s great we got a reimagined version of this original roller coaster but that scar of the original being removed is still there amongst the general public. I miss you OG Zambezi Zinger! ❤

I grew up riding the original and always loved it. Now I've taken my 2 sons to the new one so it's special to me in that regard. I remember the old one as a perfect first coaster for kids, not too fast not too crazy but still got your heart beating with excitement. New one is more aggressive but not to the point of scary to a kid. My 8 year old who's picky about coasters loved it and my 12 year old will ride anything. Sadly it's been down on occasion lately and of course when we went for both boys birthdays it was down.

I rode it at worlds, my very first coaster back in 1985 and rode it every year until 1996 (I didnt get to go in 97). You cant UNHEAR what the zambezi zinger sounded like. Its distinctive "chug chug chug" when it went up a hill and how the chug got faster.

I rode the original Zambezi Zinger at Worlds of Fun as a child. I loved it and miss it very much. The new Zinger is fun, but the old Zinger was better.

Never got to ride Zambezi Zinger, but I did get to ride the follow-up Schwarzkopf and sister to the Whizzer: Big Bend. Can I get a Six Flags over Texas Hell Yeah, up in here? Too bad SFoT gave up on Big Bend; the executives were STUPID to remove Big Bend because they didn't know how to maintain it correctly. I'm just happy Whizzer still going strong!

Pretty generic name: Montaña Rusa translates to Roller Coaster lol. Or literally Russian Mountain as they were originally called (and still are in Spanish, French and other languages) when they were basically ice slides in Russia.
