I think people don't fear the originals in this show because they've already been aware of them for a long time and they are quite older and experienced. You have to realise that Stefan & Damon were newbie vamps who had no idea who Klaus even was. We found out about them when they found out. The rest of them like Elena, Caroline, Bonnie etc were all 17 year olds. Of course they would be scared of 1000 year old vamps. Most people in New Orleans have heard the history of the originals and by this point, they all know that TO aren't invincible. They have a lot of weak points that can be exploited.

Ur right to an extent especially as it concerned the MFG. But remember that TVD introduced characters more OLDER and EXPERIENCE who was fearfull of the Mikealsons, like trevor, rose, katherine, etc.

He’s a legend.” Stefan: “From the first generation of vampires.” So by this you can I get they knew of them, but didn’t know the details that they figured out later

Vincent kills every scene he's in, he pairs up well with all the Mikalesons. Elijah's dedication to Klaus's redemption at the expense of himself is a beautifully done character arc, starting from back in TVD. Brutal murder is a must for a Mikaleson party. I like how the Hollow is connected to Haley's past and the Tunde knife.

@@Web497 The problem with Legacies is the execution. Like early season 1, a lot of the revealed creatures and the lore behind them is actually super sad* (see below). But by mid-late season 2, things just get stupid* (see below). Spoilers - - - - Like the Dryad, it's actually super heartbreaking what what happened to her. And she's probably just one of many Dryads in Malevore. The minotaur/maze 70s episode. Or the Lady of the Lake episode, which got way too meta and it wasn't funny. It felt more like a really bad self-aware Riverdale episode.

@@Web497 Spoiler for legacies My problem with legacies is that they don't show enough of the lore. I want to know more about the times Malivore devoured these "dangerous creatures". He's supposed to be this big bad and I feel like all we know about him is that he's a terrible dad, and that doesn't really make him threatening or for a compelling story, especially when he hasn't really had any dire consequences on the characters. And even the writers seem to not take themselves seriously with some of the monsters they bring in

Joseph is just a chem magic. I liked him with Genevieve, Caroline, Hayley, and Aurora. I always hated how they didn’t capitalize on his romantic chemistry with his co-star. I feel like, he would had been a good romantic lead but they kinda put ‘romance’ on the backboard in this show.

TVD is done at this point. TVD had a 3 year time jump while the originals had 5. So while the Mikaelsons were asleep and Klaus was being tortured by Marcel, all of the second half of season 7 happened along with season 8

I sort of agree on how nobody fears the original....For one in my mind is on the Vampire Diaries the Originals were just legends and every time they would see one younger ish vampires would poop their pants. But in this show we are also dealing with very very tough vampires, you could see vampires like the one's Marcel had with him in Season 1 were weak af and pretty terrified and 100/1 couldn't incapacitate Klaus, if we are talking about the Strix, Dalia, Aia etc and probably some of the most powerful witches anywhere in that world hanging out in New Orleans they are not going to be scared, remember most 800-900 year old vampires while they can't go toe to toe they probably rival the originals in strength, and furthermore there is a high chance they already knew the original who tuned them directly and personally, it's less scary to see the person who turned you again than to meet for the very first time- witches perhaps ought to be more scared but honestly they are very OP...As for humans I agree somewhat, but also don't know how much or little they know about vampire lore lmao
